Dave Farmers be seizing the moment and recently banked this beauty off the top at 29lb 6oz common
Hot conditions meant opportunities could be slim. However after finding a few carp in a weedy bay, I set about getting them feeding. Which luckily didnŌĆÖt take long! Sneakily I flicked out my mixer and tried to pick out a better fish. This angry common then showed up, chowing down a few before making an instant beeline for my hook bait. A nice tidy battle and decent net job from a... mate meant happy days!
My floaters were all soaked in a combination of #steamies nut, pepper, and salmon oil!

I arrived at the lake about midday and in the non stop rain and nothing much was happening. I baited with 3kg of the TNTs in an open water no hope spot! At 5-30 fish turned up, started bubbling and away it went, TNT 12mm pop up!

When I arrived at the lake a walk round revealed that it was busy and only a few double figure carp had been out. I decided to go round the other side and fish close to island with crushed, halfs and whole TNTs in a pva bags with a scatter of baits around the area.
... After a few hours one of my rods went ripping off with a 14lber so I baited the same spot and got the rod back, within another couple hours it went ripping off again and I knew it was a little bigger after a short battle a 21lb Common was in the net, Happy Days.

Bait Size, How important is It?
So what are your thoughts on bait size, do you chop and change your bait size to suit different situations or are you much like the the Carp a creature of habit and always stick to the same size?
Do you simply just adapt you introduction method, ie if you canŌĆÖt reach with a catapult, turn to a throw stick or spod out you 15millers?
... Do you favour a mix of sizes or like a 12miller? Or do you go smaller in the winter?
For me most of the time the size I use is dictated by the distance I need to achieve ie upto 100 yards with a throw stick then 18s or 20s, if IŌĆÖm fishing in close or the Gulls are a nightmare IŌĆÖd use crushed bait in a spod or by hand when marginal fishing.
If the depth IŌĆÖm fishing is bird friendly then IŌĆÖll go 24mm all the way which has added benefits like avoiding small carp and nuisance species. On the plus side the birds canŌĆÖt get any of the free offerings, even when fishing a 16mm pop up amongst the 24millers I never have issues with bird life.
ThereŌĆÖs many applications that will catch fish on any day of the week but hopefully weŌĆÖve got the grey matter working this morning and your head firmly in the game.

Consultant Kieran decided he fancied a bit of a change, so decided to have a go on the river this season, after doing his research he got a ticket on a stretch not to far from home and started trickling the bait in.
We bet you can imagine how excited he was for the start of the season and what a result he had ending up with 4 bites on his first overnighter.

This little write up came in from one of our new bait rolling technicians Joe Bridle.
ŌĆ£After my recent club water ticket ran out I decided I needed to join a new water.
As soon as the ticket arrived through the post. I went down to the lake a for a walk around and a look to try and locate the fish and give them some bait line free.
... After a couple of days past I went down to the lake all tackled up, I walked three entire laps of the lake to check the prebaited spots and find the fish, while walking around to check the spots I saw very little activity. Upon arriving in the swim I had baited I saw multiple fish show as I was scanning the water. After watching them for a while clearly over the baited spots I decided to set up and cast to the fish showing over my spot.
After a short time of the rods being in the water my left had rod melted off. While playing the fish it put up a good fight and I knew I had hooked a decent fish, as I played it in closer it surfaced just in front of the net I knew the fish was a new PB. I was over the moon with my result, the wide spread of 15mm TNT bottom baits with a 12mm icebreaker pop-up presented over the top had produced the goods in the shape of this new PB.

Since changing over to individual steamie baits cno, I have had 2 x 40+ carp and a few 30,s. My catch rate has been superb and the personal customer service from kristian and Tracey has been superb. Next week I go to france on a water where we have all blanked, with coconut orange I'm going full of confidence. Tight lines all

Right guys and girls just wanted to post about the year I had on STEAMIES last year. 2017.

I started on STEAMIES early on in the year and had fantastic results every time I was on the bank.

I used to struggle with a bait choice and never have 100% confidence until using STEAMIES.

Now I know the bait I use will catch em. (If my skill puts me on the fish that is).

Here are a few pics of the creatures I caught using different products by Steamies.

Popped down there today and got a great deal on bait and some great information on lakes in area , there have a lot of time for you and listen to what you want
