Brand new kits... Same old Spartans! Medway Rugby donned their brand new kits to take on Queen Mary's away yesterday and they smashed it again. 🏉 Sitting pretty at the top of the league, these guys look unstoppable! Keep it up boys, you're making us look good 😉 Here's their match report:
Sitting top of their BUCS league Spartans received a very warm welcome from QM who threw down the gauntlet with a kick & chase & the resulting bounce favourably for the hosts...7-0 with five... minutes played...hmmm! 🔸 Medway forwards then began to work & dominate the tight with Rueben outstanding & Samuel Sharpe finished a power drive lasting a good few minutes with a team try plus the extras...7-7. 🔹 The ever present Sam Sharpe scored again to see the first half out 7-13 & Spartans looked to build. Queen Mary’s were in no mood to capitulate & they stubbornly defended & then attacked with precision causing a yellow card (team yellow) suffered by Hector Rheiwind Bonnel for a high tackle. Emmanuel Adeyeye was unlucky on the wing as x3 opportunities to pass to him in the clear were spurned by his teammates who should really be buying Emanuel a drink at the Christmas Party! Then 25 minutes of slog from both teams unfolded & neither defence could be breached! George Ashby eventually scored a good try from consistent spartans pressure in the embers of the game to close out a terrific first half of the season & a win on the day 7-20 with Sam bagging the extras. 🔸 Great performances from captain Angus Turnbull & line out captain Cameron Crane were supported by the teams Rock & Man of the Match Jimmy Ernest who the opposition simply could not live with...during the singing on the bus trip home the Spartans Coach was heard saying “one of the finest teams I’ve had the privilege to coach”...praise indeed for the talented & still top of the League Medway Spartans...Enjoy your Christmas one & all...C’mon Medway!

Huge Congrats to Medway Spartans this week on another excellent win - this week against (ex) league leaders UKC 2nds... Good job showing 'em which campus is boss! 🏉
Here's their match report: Wednesday 28th November 2018 2pm at Medway Rugby Club Medway Spartans sought to avenge the early season defeat by Kent University & hosted a very strong team from Kent who topped the League...howling wind & driving rain set the scene & with a terrific Monday training session under their ...belt Spartans began with a game plan that was ultimately executed almost perfectly! 21 Spartan players, all hungry for the collision & the Fray tore into Kent & the visitors pounded Spartans home line with wave after wave of quality phases...quite brilliantly Sparta defended like never before & the league leaders could simply not cross the line! Captain Angus Turnbull turned defence into attack with a try & an unlikely lead 7-0 with Samuel Sharp adding the extras after 12 minutes. Man of the Match (forwards) Billy Hadj put his body on the line time & time again & along with Jake Haines held Kent at bey! Eventually Kent scored a deserved try & the excellent referee allowed an exhausting 20 minutes to flow with few stoppages & a highly entertaining game despite the worsening weather. Medway forwards began to gain ascendency & a terrific scrum allowed the tour de force Patrick Holliday to score a splendid try...sam added the extras...14-5 half time! The best try of the game followed the break...Spartans won the lineout, two pods crashing forward then Jack at scrum half spun the ball wide with Tom (backs man of the match) gaining 30 meters & sam sharp scoring a team try & to be fair...the excellent Kent capitulated...19-5. This is the best company to let with as a student in Gillingham. The service was very accommodating, allowing us to move into the property early due to our course having slightly different dates. The house was clean when we moved in and the check-in service was brilliant, without any major fees! The house we letted was on Castlemaine Avenue. It's a stunning property, and with minimal issues during the tenancy I was very sad to leave the house and company upon completing my degree. When we were initially searching for a property Craig took us round several, all of which were lovely and we never had an issue with communication between ourselves and the company. Brilliant service and lovely properties.

Term times for myself and my friend were different to most students and Craig was able to find a landlord who would be able to have students for a short term contract. Craig and his team have been really useful when appliances have been damaged and have tried to fix it without needing us to be there. Craig has been fair about how he conducts the inventory before and after leaving the property. I would definitely recommend.

Rented for almost 2 years. Craig was fantastic. Polite, professional & enthusiastic to help in all matters of tennancy issues. Would definately rent again. Highly recommended. Great work guys. Five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

During a very stressful time it was reassuring to know that any help we needed would be provided by Craig or a member of his team without delay and with great professionalism. I’ve rented with student house Gillingham for my last year of UNI and it made my final year a lot less stressfull. If anything broke they were quick to fix it and any issues were quick to reply. Very friendly and helpful. I wish I’d used them for all 3 years of UNI.

Craig was great and allowed flexibility to the contract duration when it was needed and helped find somewhere for our second house. I would highly recommend Student Accommodation Gillingham to anyone.

I rented 79 Baden Road, GIllingham for my final year of university, as far as houses go in medway this was one of the best. Every appliance you could need, and if one broke Craig was quick to fix it. Craig was a very friendly agent to deal with, any issues and he was always there to set things straight. Reasonable fees for student accommodation, and i wasn't charged a stupid amount for minor wear and tear when i left the house. Stayed with JG student letting in my first year, and they were terrible compared to this. All in all, good house, good company. would definitely recommend.

I lived in houses managed by student house Gillingham for both my second and final years at kent uni. Craig and his team were always very attentive and helpful if anything were to need fixing or other attention in the flats. I would definitely recommend them for student lettings in the Gillingham area.

After renting a room in a property managed by Student House Gillingham I have nothing but praise for all staff at the company! Any queries or problems raised to the company were promptly addressed and managed. There are no extortionate fees like some other companies and the rent for the properties are highly affordable when considering it is 'all inclusive' of bills and utilities. Craig is amazing and easily contacted when needed. Great company to rent with 👌

Nice quick responsive service to any issues from Craig and his team, would have stayed on for the remainder of third year because of this if an altered contract length could have been negotiated.

Craig and the team are very helpful and any problems I had with the house I rented were solved as soon as possible. Craig was always on hand to help anyway he could. I would definitely recommend using these for student renting in Medway

I’ve rented with student house Gillingham for my last year of UNI and it made my final year a lot less stressfull. If anything broke they were quick to fix it and any issues were quick to reply. Very friendly and helpful. I wish I’d used them for all 3 years of UNI.

I stayed with SAG for 2 years and couldn't fault it. Service was great; on the rare occasion any problems were found they were promptly fixed. Craig was great and allowed flexibility to the contract duration when it was needed and helped find somewhere for our second house. I rented 79 Baden Road, GIllingham for my final year of university, as far as houses go in medway this was one of the best. Every appliance you could need, and if one broke Craig was quick to fix it. Craig was a very friendly agent to deal with, any issues and he was always there to set things straight. Reasonable fees for student accommodation, and i wasn't charged a stupid amount for minor wear and tear when i left the house. Stayed with JG student letting in my first year, and they were terrible compared to this. All in all, good house, good company. would definitely recommend.

I lived in houses managed by student house Gillingham for both my second and final years at kent uni. Craig and his team were always very attentive and helpful if anything were to need fixing or other attention in the flats. I would definitely recommend them for student lettings in the Gillingham area.

After renting a room in a property managed by Student House Gillingham I have nothing but praise for all staff at the company! Any queries or problems raised to the company were promptly addressed and managed. There are no extortionate fees like some other companies and the rent for the properties are highly affordable when considering it is 'all inclusive' of bills and utilities. Craig is amazing and easily contacted when needed. Great company to rent with 👌

Rented a house from SHG for my second year and part of my third year. Saved about £55 a month compared to halls. Nice quick responsive service to any issues from Craig and his team, would have stayed on for the remainder of third year because of this if an altered contract length could have been negotiated.

Craig and the team are very helpful and any problems I had with the house I rented were solved as soon as possible. Craig was always on hand to help anyway he could. I would definitely recommend using these for student renting in Medway
