Summerleaze Veterinary Hospital

This little munchkin was brought to us this week as he was out during the day and a member of the public was concerned. Sadly vet practices are not the best environment for wildlife rehabilitation as they can be very noisy and stressful with cats and dogs barking. This little one was taken to Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital for care and rehabilitation. We are very lucky that we have a very kind volunteer who helps us by regularly transporting them on our behalf as she has a passion for these beautiful prickly creatures! 🦔🦔🦔😁

🐹Found hamster🐹 Has anyone lost this little chap? This little hamster has been brought to us as a stray having been found by a member of the public in moorbridge rd, maidenhead 😲 We assume that someone must be missing him, and it would be great if we could reunite him with his family. 10 days ago we posted about a lost feline toffee. We are pleased to say that toffee has just returned home to her owners 😁😁😁 In her owners words, she is a little thinner, very hungry and very shouty!! No one will ever know what adventures she has had or where she has been, but her owners are very relieved to have her home. Thank you to all of you that commented and shared the original post.... We and her owners are very grateful!

We love meeting pets at any time, but it is extra special when they have been treated by us for serious illness. Beautiful Robin ♥️ was hospitalised with us last year as a tiny pup when she had pneumonia. It really was touch and go whether she would survive, but she was a fighter and we got to see her all grown up when she came back to be spayed this week. There are many things day to day that put a smile on our faces, but knowing we made a difference is definitely one of them! It was lovely to care for you again Robin 🐾😘

🐾🐾Kiki's Story🐾🐾 Although it is not a legal requirement for cats to be microchipped as it is for dogs, we still recommend it and this is why! Last week we had this lovely chap brought to us as he was assumed to be a stray. He was very dirty and quite shy. We scanned him for a microchip and were happy that he had one.... After contacting the microchip company who hold the database of owner information we were able to contact his owner. His owner was amazed to receive a call as she had been searching for Kiki since he went missing in February! Not only had he been missing for several months, he also lived miles away in Croydon! The owner provided a photo of Kiki as a kitten, having a snooze in her little girls dolly pram! We have been able to reunite Kiki with his family who had given up hope 😁 Please ensure that if your pet is microchipped, you update the company if you move or update your telephone. Microchipping is inexpensive; £15 or included as part of our healthy pet club. We love a happy ending and are so pleased Kiki is back where he belongs; with his family that ♥️ him very much.

Did you know that we also have a branch practice in Marlow? The vets from Summerleaze share the rota for cover at Marlow, so if your favourite vet is not available at Summerleaze, you may be able to book in to see them at Marlow!... Nina and Lisa are our fabulous receptionists who both regularly work at Marlow but they also help us out at Summerleaze 😁 Our computer systems are linked, so the vet will have full access to your pets record. Marlow have their own Facebook page, so do have a look and give them a 👍

Sunday 2nd June - Bear is home!! 😁😁😁
🐾Sadly another missing feline post🐾 Gorgeous Bear hasn't returned home to his family who live in Chippenham and they are extremely worried 😢 It has been a lovely day with lots of people out using their gardens.... Cats are inquisitive animals, and often enter open outbuildings for a nose around! 🐾🐾Toffee is missing from home and her owners are desperate for news🐾🐾 ** Missing cat - please help - reward given! **
Hi everyone.
... Please could you help us by checking your gardens, sheds etc as our little cat Toffee has gone missing.
This is made worse by the fact that she is really our son Ben’s cat, and he’s in the middle of his GCSEs.
Toffee is chipped and - as you can see from the photo - has a distinguishing mark on her nose. She should be wearing a red/pink collar.
