Go listen to the new Screen Wives track up on bandcamp now! Totally crazy good album to follow very shortly. (Had the pleasure of recording/mixing/mastering this at the studio!)

You Will Flood The River Back in the studio this weekend 💜
Happy holidays everyone! We're going to close up for a week and will be back open on Jan 2nd.
Massive love and thank yous to all the musicians who have used the studio this year 💚❤️💚
Hope everyone gets a decent break and we'll see you again in the new year for new noises! 😎
New Sweet Deals On Surgery ! Sometimes it seems pretty insane getting to record bands this good. Go check em out and buy their stuff! They’re from Manchester and now on the excellent Society Of Losers label.
Local rock 'n' rollers SPINNER did a live sesh on BBC Radio Kent this week. Go have a listen here! ⬇️
Don't think this is actually released properly yet but here's a couple of tracks I recorded with medway noise punks Dead Kaczynski a little while back.
Hey! Another emotive couple of tracks I got to work on for Sorry Creature were released this week. Go have a listen:
Out tomorrow!!! Tiny Ghost release their album 'Now we are yours'. We all worked hard on this little beauty!
Another track from Sammie Harris recorded for Seaside Sessions and mixed here.
Sammie Harris on Seaside Sessions. Done a little mix on this the other day. Have a listen!
Congo Natty aka Rebel MC - The Official Page and his incredible band set up camp at sunlight recently to record some new tunes. Here's my buddy Mike from Big Jelly Studios adding some live echo on the akai Headrush. ALL THE VIBES! <3
Check out this new single from The Word - drums tracked here recently, the rest recorded and mixed by Liam Henderson. Good job son!
Check this amazing new video from Salt the Snail! The liverpool lads came all the way down to kent last year to record some tunes at the studio (and show us how gigs should be done with an awesome show at poco!) Beautiful.
The staff were very friendly when we did our cd.
Sunlight is a fantastic space with great equipment. The engineer Greg is very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable as to what to do to get the best sound for all instruments and genres. My favourite recording experience by far!
Sunlight Studios is my go to place to rehearse and record. Great space and equipment, the room has a good sound too, it's comfortable and has a separate area to sit and relax if you're in all day for a long recording session.
Recording with Greg is very easy, he's relaxed and works around you, listens to what you want and delivers! A very well deserved five stars :)
My favourite place to rehearse! Recorded here too back in 2011.
Greg is the man!!
Is an excellent place to get your recordings down. Our band searched for a long time for somewhere that felt comfortable and the producer especially puts you well at ease. There's not a lot this guy doesn't know. We'll be recording there for a long time to come.
I think first time I've visited sober! Staff so friendly and so many facilities. Sunlight Radio could recruit more people with humour and fun! All volunteers, thus can't knock them. Not Radio 1...mmm
I can’t say enough good things about Greg and Sunlight Studios. They’ve given me everything I could possibly have wanted from a studio. Technical prowess and impressive facilities? Certainly. However, what I valued most highly during my time recording and mixing my album at Sunlight Studios was the support and input from Greg himself (Greg being the in-house Engineer). I'm in awe of Greg’s technical expertise but over and above that....
Greg was incredibly supportive and accommodating, welcoming, helpful, and artistically open-minded. He has a gift for listening to the artist, as “The Artist” and as the paying customer: You call the shots when it comes to what you’re trying to create. He did absolutely everything possible to help me turn what I could hear in my imagination into a hard reality. By the way, I have no previous relationship with Greg – I only met him in the course of recording my album – but I quickly came to trust him completely with an artistic project that’s deeply important to me and personal to me, and he didn’t let me down.
Not only did Greg succeed in understanding my artistic “vision” (apologies for the pretentious language) but he has his own artistic and aesthetic sense which he was able to apply to my work when I asked him to. By that I mean, when I asked him for his creative input – his views on certain creative decisions – he provided it, without compromising the vision I had set out (and I felt confident asking him for this input only because I trusted that he understood what I was trying to do and would make his creative judgement in that context).
I was also hugely impressed by Greg’s interpersonal skill: He understands the emotional vulnerability of the artist and the performer and takes great care to accommodate that to get the best performances and allow the artist to create within a comfortable and non-judgemental environment.
To top it off, conversations I had with Greg while working on my album confirm that he has a fantastically diverse range of musical appreciation and understanding. I can’t imagine there being a genre of music that Greg wouldn’t record with exceptional skill.
I have no hesitation in recommending Sunlight Studios to anyone wanting to record their music, whether your project is small or large, a grand creation comprised of multiple over-dubs, or a simple live recording: No hesitation at all.
