Licensed for weddings, the Bedford Arms is the perfect place for other special occasions too. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, it’s the ideal setting to enjoy a relaxing break with your every need catered for.

Summer Wedding
Last night The Bedford Arms said a sad farewell to Freddie our restaurant manager.who has been at the Hotel for the last 36 years. Enjoy your retirement. We will all miss you.x

Last year Peter Ratcliffe, dad and owner of The Bedford Arms Hotel was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. This was terrifying and shocking news to us all. Peter underwent surgery and made a full recovery. Myself and The Beford Arms team are now trying to raise awareness and funds to support Prostate Cancer by joining the Movember Foundation.

Wonderfully welcoming receptionist, incredibly clean bedroom with powerful shower and nice little extras. Dining rooms and bar were all furnished to the highest standards, with lots of little touches of character, meaning you noticed new things all the time. Apparently it is a family business these days, and that explains why they work cohesively and take such pride in everything. The food was amazingly presented and tasted so great we couldn't resist having three courses each time, and we had a lovely waitress on the Sunday. Hard to fault it really.

We went there on Boxing Day , me, my husband, my daughter and her 3 children aged 10,7 & almost 4. They couldn’t do enough to make our meal special. The 10yr old is a vegetarian and they brought him up special roast potatoes not roasted in goose fat. How kind. We would definitely visit again .
We love this place, such pleasant and friendly staff, where nothing is to much trouble, great food and ambience, lovely clean rooms, and the whole place has an abundance of character
We had a wonderful stay last night. All the staff were really friendly, kind, and the service was fab. We had room 14 and it was fantastic. I would recommend a night or two here anytime.
We celebrated my birthday today having afternoon tea with friends. It was absolutely lovely and plenty of it. A great day, we all enjoyed it.
This was our local 40 years ago so when looking for somewhere central for a family reunion this seemed perfect. With 3 generations to cater for and the youngest only 3 years old, the venue worked well. Excellent service and food to match. Part of the group was delayed by 45 minutes in M25 traffic but the kitchen/restaurant staff were totally unfazed by this. The restaurant staff were faultless and the Manager made a great photographer for our end of lunch group photo. Would certainly go again and have no hesitation in recommended the Bedford Arms.
This is a lovely place to stay. I spent Sunday afternoon basking in the sun (which I gather remains hidden a lot of the year) while enjoying a drink or three. Lovely clean rooms, with friendly and genuinely helpful staff. Thoroughly recommend it.

Super food. The festive menu was particularly good value and staff friendly and attentive. Room was clean and comfortable and loved the quiet setting. There is some fantastic running on the doorstep too, if you like running bring your trainers!
My first experience of the Bedford Arms was fantastic, I visited on a Sunday lunch with my girlfriend last month.
We had the two course lunch deal, I had the Thai soup and salmon and she had the smoked salmon and roast lamb.
Very impressed with how fresh and tasty everything was. The level of food was matched by the trendy whilst comfortable interior and great service.
Can imagine this would be a great location for a large booking with the family or friends.
Can't wait to come back and try some more of the food.

It was my birthday and my husband and I wanted a nice place eat. We weren’t disappointed the staff were really nice and friendly, the food was amazing and we had a great evening. The menu had so much on it we will be back to try more, a welcome refreshing place to eat and drink
Friendly helpful staff. Excellent accommodation and food.
Called in for lunch on the off chance on 30/03/18 and noticed that most of the tables were reserved and were still able to give us a table.
Although we only had 2 starters of the fish sharing platter and the calamari it arrived promptly, excellent value for money. The portion sizes were more than sufficient and tasted great! Would definitely go back when in the area.
Brilliant!! Can't believe it was our 1st time eating there last night, certainly won't be the last. What gorgeous grounds & interior and outstanding service. All their own butchery as we understand it, just loved our cured meats platter to start with with (disclosure - we know it was Rex Artisan bread ❤️), outstanding steak, mussels, liver, roast. Outstanding portion sizes, my daughter only managed 1/2 her burger! Go Bedford Arms Hotel!!!!!!! X

It's very nice for tea/coffee a drink but they don't seem to go out of their way as an hotel their breakfast finishes at 9am and when I popped in very recently I wasn't even given the option of coffee(or a croissant or cake) so not too welcoming but they're obviously not touting for business either
First impression of my room was good but then, the cobwebs and hairy floor in the bathroom took over which made for an uncomfortable experience.
The pub was cramped and the smell of bear put me off going for an overpriced breakfast.
This is one place that was not value for money. Attention to detail is definitely lacking here.
