Did you see Tom's story in Take a Break magazine - official?
His diagnosis came after he was beaten up by bullies on the way home from school, he was taken for scan to check there was no internal damage but shockingly it showed 4cm tumour on his brain.
Before this Tom had suffered from headaches and a few other symptoms, but as is so common they were put down to other issues such a ADHD and school pressures.
... We lead and fund the HeadSmart designed to help increase the awareness of brain tumour symptoms in babies, children and young adults. An early diagnosis is key to reducing life long disabilities and potentially saving lives.
Visit the HeadSmart page to find out more.
Thank you so much to Tom and his family for allowing us share there story to raise vital awareness.

Today we were back in Parliament for the APPG (All Party Parliamentary Group) Annual General Meeting on brain tumours.
Tessa Jowell helped publicise vital issues, using her own story for the benefit of others in the future. We were honoured to work closely with her and believe it is so important to keeping sharing your stories with policy makers. We will continue to work tirelessly to bring about vital (and overdue) change.
The work we are doing includes driving forward equa...l access to 5-ALA, pushing recommendations from our Price You Pay report (bit.ly/PriceYouPay18), working with the DVLA on issues around driving licenses and using the opinions you shared in our patient choice survey to inform policy recommendations.
We will continue to work with parliamentarians to keep your voice front and centre of decision making, thank you for everything you have done to support this vital work so far.
