What a find! Just enjoyed a light lunch here and felt I had to write a review. We walked in to a warm welcome and as we ordered our drinks the person behind the bar was up for a conversation. We visit lots of pubs and the fact that I feel the need to comment shows you how rare this is. The food was good and a slight problem with one of our meals was spotted by the staff who were insistent that they brought us another one. We'll be back.

Went to the Chequers inn with all my family to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary! Lovely welcome as soon as we arrived, we all opted for steaks as there the best around for miles and cooked to perfection! the atmospehere is so warm and welcoming! definately would reccommend! also had a curry night on which smelt delicious, Thankyou for making our visit so nice.

Great pub, friendly staff and the food was amazing. Definitely be returning .

We thought that we would try this place and so glad we did. Very friendly staff and i knew the landlady. The food was amazing and so was the banana � split. Definitely going back again

We spotted a brown road sign on the main road directing to the The Chequers.

The Chequers is about 1 mile down the lane, there is onsite parking as well as on the road.

Being late on sunday afternoon (4.30ish) we were looking for a roast.

The Chequers is very welcoming from the moment you walk in and we were shown a table to eat at and the landlady explained that lamb and chicken were not available but no problem there was still Turkey, Beef and Pork so no problem.

I had the 2 meats roast and my wife pork loin not dissapointed tge fresh veg, roast spuds excellent.

Friendly service great food and the landlords bright red shoes (David Bowie ' Dance') and dry sense of humour lovely place.

We had had an excellent meal, fresh - top quality food. The staff were really polite and friendly too, the whole place is very homely, would definitely recommend a visit, we will be going back again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a lovely lunch at the Chequers yesterday - reunion with some friends. Food and atmosphere were great - 5 pies and one steak, all of which were perfection. Three and a half hours later we left - love long lunches.....

Thank you Chequers for a great family meal last night. The six of us all enjoyed the beautifully cooked to order meals.. And especially the Cheesey Leeks Yumm.. We'll be visiting again soon. The Bawden family.

Loved it nice, little village pub be nice in the summer in the garden . Think they should bring the roast dinners down in price just a tad to keep up with all the other outstanding pubs close by ..highly recommend �

It's a great place to go for a steak or just a drink and a chat to the locals.

I only nipped in with the kids for a quick lunch & had never been here before. This is a welcoming & accomodating pub. Lovely staff. Fair prices. Ordered the chicken nuggets for the kids & they looked home made, literally chunks of chicken. Will definitely be going back.

Great food and beer , can't recommend it highly enough with friendly staff and great landlord and lady . Always look forward to coming here when traveling back to the UK
