Went in for a meal with my father tonight. We'd prebooked our table on the website. We were seated. The food, the service and the atmosphere was very good. Will be back

User

Visited for the first time this week after a long day walking and was welcomed by a wonderful place wgich wad warm, friendly and accomodating for our dog (even when the cheeky fella parked his butt up on a chair. )The place had a lvely selection of food and drink, the meals we ordered were lovely and the staff were very friendly. They even gave us a sheet to join in on the quiz which had started already for fun. Can't wait to go back there. Not sure how anyone was unhappy with the staff as we fpund all members old AND young were courteous, friendly and helpful.

User

My husband & I ate there last night, friendly staff, waitress was helpful with the menu options, food was hot & delicious, we’ll definitely be returning!

User

Just had a lovely dinner with my husband and toddler son. Delicious food, really really good value, and really lovely staff. Absolutely amazing dinner with a lovely view of the ponies 🐴😊

User

Food was excellent, service was good, prices were reasonable. We thought the garden and play area was very good, we will defently be coming back.

User

First time here for dinner - we thought we’d try the food out in advance of our wedding this year. The food was wonderful, staff were very attentive, price of food is what you’d expect - not overly priced. Glad our wedding has been booked here can’t wait till November 😆

User

After being past The Drift Inn a number of time my husband decided for us to go for a drive in forest and go and have a meal, when we walked in we was welcomed with the smell of a open fire, really welcoming, prices were abit high, however when our meal arrived we couldn't believe the amount of food, couldn't eat it all as to much ,will definitely go again ,for a drink though as meals really are highly priced ,lovely location ,very quiet

User

There were 5 in our party. We were asked for a drinks order but we had ordered. We gad a mixture from the menu, fish and chips, burgers and Hullumi. The only complaint was the meals were greasy but they were big meals and not everyone finished their meal. We have been before this visit and will visit again, trying something else. You can not make a decision on one visit unless it is disastrous.

User

7 of us were there for Sunday Lunch yesterday, overall good food and service. Only 1 Gluten Free and Vegan Dish offered. No GF/VG starters or desserts ordered which I find sad (especially dessert!!). Lovely to be able to bring our doggie though and love the open fires! Staff friendly especially the GM.

User

We came here for sunday dinner. The meals are rather small for £15 per head !! we were still hungry so we ordered a sweet which was lovely.

User

Very slow in clearing tables, puddings bought out main coarse plates left, had to take glasses back ourselves to make room.

User

There is either too many staff, none of whom appear to know what they are meant to do.....or hardly any staff! Quite a few on shift last night and it wasnt busy when i was there but i still had to clear a table of glasses to enable it to be sat at!!

User

Staff were good fun and done there best but needed more help so a bit slow with food and drinks, but would go again, the Romanian girl made us very welcome.

User

Had a couple of bad experiences with food but decided to give the restaurant another go this week end yet again disappointed ordered beef and ale pie but when it arrived it was burnt then had to wait 20 minutes for a replacement had to pick something different by this time a lot of dishes were off the menu so ended up with a dish I didn't really want ! Think management need to take a look at their kitchen staff as there was a few people not happy !!

User

Went for last night, we walked in an the atmosphere was friendly we sat down and ordered our main meals my other half ordered steak which he liked well done...when the food finally came out around 45 mins later my other half found clean-film attached to the bottom (the staff said sorry) through the meal we did not get asked once how the food was. We where also told that a lady would come and take a drinks order which never came and had to ask a further 2 people to get some drinks. We then went on to order puddings which took another 30 mins to come out and again was not asked how the food was.

Overall the service was very slow(only 4 full tables) and we did feel very ignored with everybody being served before us when arriving after

User

Very poor, went to a " Garden Party to celebrate the Royal Wedding. No party the only activity or difference to a normal day was a 42 inch tv on a table that nobody could see. When I and some other customers asked if they would leave the tv on for the Cup Final we were told to watch it somewhere else we didn't even get to see the fun and games after the ceremony as the tv was packed up mid broadcast . About 15 of us three groups who didnt know each other packed up our . We watched the Royal wedding at home in the evening. Very bad show. There was a bad smell of sewerage in the garden too.

User

It’s a hot sunny bank holiday weekend, we’ve bought the kids for a drink after a long forest walk. I’m sorry to say the pub garden absolutely stinks, all our drinks are flat, there is one poor guy serving a massive que of people while also trying to sort other complaints. There is only one toilet, so ques again and they really need a good clean. Not impressed. We will not be venturing back this Summer. Sorry but not happy with the service today, 26/05/18

User

I really wanted to like this lovely looking pub- by the New Forest , horses ,children’s play area.....but they did not deliver in several other areas.

I emailed them and messaged them about reserving a table outside Sunday morning for early lunch at 11 and no reply. We arrived at 10.45 to find plenty of seating but to be told breakfast ended at 10.30 and lunch starts at 12. Only had 3 bags of crisps left for 6 of us! Says they are open from 7.30am on the website. Meanwhile, Sunday afternoon following our visit, I finally get a reply to my email!

Ordered food and after 30minutes all food out except my 7 year old ‘s dish. No apology and a 15 minute wait again.

Staff not welcoming and they all seemed annoyed to be there and as if we were putting them out as customers. Chatting between themselves and no focus on customers at all.

Got the bill and had been charged for 4 children’s meals not 2- had to queue up again to get it sorted!!! Again no apology or offer to make it up with free pudding/ drink.

Shame as this pub as much potential. Messy management and silly signs offering cake and a cuppa when they had also run out of cake!!!!

Shan’t be recommending this place on Facebook or to friends as it all seems a bit of a shambles.

The only redeeming features were the welcoming dog bowls, humorous quotes and crazy French waiter who brightened the mood.

User

Good food, shame about the service. Really miserable and inefficient bar food waitress- shame. Kids pudding came out, brownie with ice cream and the other pudding of just I cream came out smaller than the ice cream in the side of the brownie?

First time here for dinner - we thought we’d try the food out in advance of our wedding this year. The food was wonderful, staff were very attentive, price of food is what you’d expect - not overly priced. Glad our wedding has been booked here can’t wait till November 😆

We came here for sunday dinner. The meals are rather small for £15 per head !! we were still hungry so we ordered a sweet which was lovely.

Staff were good fun and done there best but needed more help so a bit slow with food and drinks, but would go again, the Romanian girl made us very welcome.

Good food, shame about the service. Really miserable and inefficient bar food waitress- shame. Kids pudding came out, brownie with ice cream and the other pudding of just I cream came out smaller than the ice cream in the side of the brownie?
