About The Five Horseshoes In Maidensgrove

Tracey , Dan and the team welcome you to The Five Horseshoes. A 16th century gastropub set in the spectacular Chilterns.

The Five Horseshoes In Maidensgrove Description

Our pub is unique due to its wonderful setting. The views are known locally to be maybe one of the best in the area. The original pub is 400 years old, with 2 fantastic old fire places and low ceilengs which make it particularly cosy during the winter! Our newer conservatory restaurant makes the most of the breathtaking views of the chilterns -during spring the lambs in the field adjacent are a great addition! The 2 large beer gardens are a truly peaceful setting to sit back with a pint of our great brakespear bitter, or enjoy a dish off our ever changing menu.

The menu changes regularly, at least once a week. Our head chef strives to create a menu which makes the most of locally sourced produce and support other small buisnesses around us, with venison from just 2 miles down the road making a regular appearance. A few of our locals bring in their own produce such as eggs, fruit and vegetables which are all used in the kitchen- you can't get fresher than that! Furthermore, to cater for all tastes Dan has handbuilt a wood fired oven, in which we cook our authentic pizzas. All the dough and toppings are homemade, providing a delicous experience.

Also worth a mention is the "Bar Specials" Menu. Tracey and Dan are great believers in homemade produce. Thus the Five Horseshoes homemade Ginger Beer has proved to be quite a success, and for a half a litre at ยฃ2. 50 a bargain too! Alongside the ginger beer, homemade sloe gin, lemonade and elderflower cordial all feature on their original "Homemade" Bar Menu.

The Five Horseshoes is happy to welcome anyone and everyone. We are popular with families due to the large gardens and a wendyhouse to entertain the kids. Those who would prefer a romantic setting can dine in our candlelit restaurant with a view of the sunset over the chilterns.

We can cater for all manner of parties, barbeques, birthdays and weddings.

Take a look at a copy of our menu, on our website www. thefivehorseshoes. co. uk
The whole team at hope to see you soon.

What a suprising little treasure out in the sticks. My partner and I were looking for a new venue with dinning and a jazz band, couldnt have been more happier than last night. The hospitality and attention shown by Tracey and her team are second to none. The food was absolutely mouthwatering and the jazz trio, totally awesome and gave the whole evening a relaxed atmoshere.I would definitely recommened anyone to visit The Five Horseshoes and look forward to going back soon....Richie.

User

Went there for lunch with a friend. The weather was good and the view outside was incredible. I had the Oxford Gold which went down a treat with my 'Five Horshoes Burger' which was huge. Well worth a visit , plenty of choice on the menu.

User

We keep on returning, and that says a lot! There are plenty of reasons why we keep on coming back time and again. The pub is a destination in itself, with perhaps the best views of any Chilterns pubs. Charming and thoroughly pleasant front of house team with hands on owners, and of course the food is as good as the pictures! Reasonable prices and very easy parking. A well run pub!

User

We had not been in the area for many years so it was a spontaneous decision to visit The Five Horseshoes and it had not lost any of its charm, the beautiful setting and the joy of sitting in the sunny garden well in to the evening whilst enjoying excellent food served with great charm and kindness remains as we remembered it and we will certainly be sure not to let so much time pass before we visit again

User

We had a delicious meal & a fabulous view from the conservatory over the rolling fields. It's the 4th time we've been & we'll definitely be back.

Whilst the service is a little too informal (punters often chasing for bar staff or 2nd drInks etc) the food was as good as pub grub gets. My wife and I both enjoy cooking and dining out, and really enjoyed every course! I'd highly recommend it.

User
