User

Went there yesterday evening for a birthday meal, the staff were very welcoming and the service was very good. The food was excellent and thoroughly recommend a visit but suggest that you book as it gets busy.

User

Went for lunch with a friend mid week and found this lovely pub serving 5* food all day, I had the honey 🍯 glazed ham hock with chips and a poached egg. I was told people travel far and wide for this dish and I'm not doubting this for a second! Absolute stunning dish with great surroundings and faultless service, massive thumbs up 👍 from me.

User

We visited on Sunday as a group of 11 plus small children and babies. It was extremely busy but the service was still good and the food great, would recommend the roast beef! Lovely pub 😋

User

Staff very helpful and friendly.Lovely log fire Food is fantastic, had the duck pate for starter steak for main cooked perfectly, and presented well. Been a couple times now.

User

Popped in for dinner last night. We had the steak and London Pride pie with mash and veg. Absolutely delicious. Lovely pastry and really buttery mash. Lovely young waitress who was lovely and smiley and couldn't do enough for us even though she was rushed off her feet. Lovely pub and lovely outside seating areas and garden. Definitley be back

Ok so I know we're not supposed to name and shame, but I feel on this I have to!

We went to the Frog & Wicket for Sunday Lunch and they served me this!!

Not only was it bloody lovely it was cooked to perfection! And then to top it off they've only gone and employed really helpful and friendly staff!!!

The cheek of it!! When I asked for a bit of extra Crackling they only brought me a whole plate of it!!

Bloody pub landlords coming into our village and doing it right!!

Going to have to go there again now!!

User

Lovely cosy place for lunch on a wet and wild day. Good food great service, couldn’t fault it. Look forward to coming back

User

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Lauren, Laura and Steve who looked after the booking and service for my wife's 40th birthday celebration yesterday (Sun 5th Feb) with friends. Everyone had a fab afternoon. The food was great and the service excellent. My wife Laura hasn't stopped smiling since. I would definitely recommend the Frog & Wicket without reservation. Thank you!!

User

Have had birthday dinner last night, foods are so delicious , staffs are really friendly.

User

Great place, really good food and service.....use it often....day and night....

last visit only spoilt by 9-10 kids covered in mud wearing football bots coming through restaurant , constantly leaving door open on a cold night , being very noisy and using restaurant toilet.....why ? needed a little policing,,,felt sorry for customers near door as they had to get up to close it so often

User

Great food and great gardens lovely company!

User

Great day at mods at the frog, great staff!!

User

We visited The Frog yesterday, first time in ages, for a friends 40th birthday. 40+ adults/kids all arrived at the same time for a pre-booked gathering. It was outstanding!! The food arrived, cooked, hot and thoroughly delicious!! I can't lie, we were pleasantly surprised. Thank you for hosting a terrific afternoon.

You're only a short walk, so we'll definitely be returning!!

User

Staff are great and very friendly especially Lauren who always goes out or her way to make you feel welcome. Food is nice but very small portions and very expensive for what you get.

User

Lovely interior, garden and food was delicious. Only downside is the lager was flat. Not just fosters but others too which let it down! Hoping this was just a ‘bad day’ and once the gas is sorted will be fine...

User

Good food, good staff, but small portion sizes, especially considering the price. A few extra chips and more than a single dollop of ice cream with my brownie wouldn't have left me feeling slightly short-changed.

User

Took my Mum, visiting from Florida for a Roast yesterday. Really looking forward to roast beef & pork with crackling but unfortunately I was really disappointed. Mum's beef was fatty & my crackling was inedible because it was completely soggy. Shame because I've had a couple of good mid week meals in here & the pub is lovely. I wish that we had gone to The Golden Pot!!

User

Terrible salad, beautiful Sunday fire. The 'spice roasted cauliflower, chickpea salad' tasted like raw cauliflower, tinned chick peas and some spinach...which I think it was. No dressing, very bland, frankly disappointed and not worth the whopping £10! Coffee was bitter and sad looking with a digestive biscuit!

Beautiful setting, stick to the beers.

User

Fine for a drink but if you want to eat as a group and order separately (but within minutes of each other) don't expect to get your food at the same time. It'll be spaced out in half hour intervals. The bar staff are lovely but management don't seem to care. Shame because I had such a lovey time here last year for my Grandad's 80th.
