STOLEN THIS MORNING. From top end of Foxholes rd Horwich.
Picture isn't the bike in question but identical bar an orange stripe round the top box.
The arseholes were in a white Citroen car and took it from the front of her house moments after she had just pushed it out ready to use it. They freewheeled it down Foxholes Rd where they must have hotwired it and then had the audacity to ride back past her house.
... The bike belongs to a long standing elderly customer of ours and she rides it day in day out no matter what the weather so she can get to work. She's a pensioner and still works hard and this is her only means of transport.

Well today has been eventful. We were broken into this evening at approximately 18:15hrs.
A white 60 plate ford transit short wheelbase van rammed our shutter door attempting to gain entry to the unit. Also a late model silver/grey 4 door VW Golf was involved.
They didn't manage to take anything as they were disturbed and staff were on the scene in less than 5 minutes. Police and forensics have been and taken evidence etc including multiple sources of cctv footage, so we sha...ll see what that turns up.
If anyone has any information regarding the vehicles or a possible lead it will be treated with the strictest confidence and you will earn our eternal gratitude as well.
We aren't a big company we are just a small business employing a couple of staff and we all have families to feed and rent and food to pay for. This isn't a victimless crime it has a knock on effect as it's costing us a substantial sum rectifying the damage caused.
I'd like to thank everyone who came to our aid this evening as you all showed that regardless of where you were and what you were doing you came and stood there for us and helped batten down the hatches and secure the unit etc.

CHANGES TO THE MOT TEST.
From the 20th May 2018 the rules for MOT testing will be changed by DVSA (formerly known as VOSA).
This may well affect some of our customers as some of the new reasons to fail an MOT test were previously a pass or not covered in the MOT test, such as the engine management light (EML/MIL) which so far in the draft proposal is going to constitute a fail. There are plenty more that will come into force and it would be a fair size task to list them on h...ere.
So bear in mind although the latest copy of the new regulation is only a draft at the moment a large section of the changes will stay.
With that in mind if you feel that your car may not pass the new test without some costly repairs then it may be prudent to get your vehicle MOT'd before the 20th May 2018 as this will give you a year to sort out any problems etc.
At present the draft proposals are for private passenger and light commercials (cars and vans) However motorcycle test standards will at some stage also change.

STOLEN HORWICH AREA
Quite a distinctive bike as you don't see many of them around these days. If anyone sees anything remotely like this especially kids riding on fields etc can they please let us know. The owner is a very good friend and has put a lot of work into restoring this bike.
