What a lovely place. We was going to a wedding at cooling castle so booked at night at this lovely place. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. Bed room was every clean. Breakfast was great. We will be going back for a 100%. Will be telling all are friend and family about the horseshoe and castle

We have been coming here for years, food is amazing and all locally sourced, not the cheapest of places but you're paying for quality here if you want cheap grub go to Hungry horse, even the cheesy fries bar snack is better than most others can do , the Sunday roast is brilliant and such good value for money. I have to eat gluten free (make a me badly unwell) but Stuart, the head chef caters to my needs,bless him. Land Lord Kevin is a absolute sweetpea. All I can say is that the food is second to none and all the staff are brilliant!!! Excellent place to spent your money, they have rooms as well which are lovely and quiet and spotless.
