To everyone, a Merry Christmas.
If we could distill, bottle and serve Christmas to you, which tipple would it taste like?
Filled to the rafters with a wonderful crowd and an even better musical ensemble. Did you manage to make it?
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas . . .
University of Kent Alumni, come along to a Kent Alumni meeting at The Miller's Arms tonight and meet other Alumni, scholars, and they may even treat you to a drink. We appropriately have mulled wine which is much like Alumni - you're a sweeter, deeper and (hopefully) richer version of your younger selves. #KentAlumni #WeAreKent #MulledWine

What a little Canterbury nugget! Very nice, comfortable accommodation, with all the little touches required. Great location, very friendly, helpful staff & management. Convenient public car park right across the road (£6 permit for 24 hours via hotel), Great breakfast. Would highly recommend!
Well looked after ales and lagers, great food and adorable staff! One of my favourite little haunts in Canterbury, keep up the good work
We had an overnight stay last night its bijou warm and comfortable the staff are lovely and food is very good we enjoyed our brief stay.
Very, very nice place. Really lovely with good prices! I adored.
Very nice little hotel. Nothing to complaine .
Very charming and friendly Hotel and Pub located by the River Stour and close to the Marlowe Theatre. Room excellent, comfortable and well resourced, Breakfast was first class.
All Staff extremely helpful and friendly a lovely place to stay.
Stayed for one night 5th November 2016. Lovely pub with great food and the room was nice and clean too with ensuite. Staff very welcoming and friendly too. Definitely recommend
Room was lovely and very clean, breakfast was great. Brilliant location, would definitely visit again.
Really lovely pub, great service and excellent value for money
Popped in for a beer and a sandwich having walked out of La Trappiste, a good decision. We found just what we wanted, a relaxed, friendly bar, good service, a great pint and very nice sandwiches. I doubt I'll ever set foot in La Trappiste again but will be renewing my acquaintance with the Millers Arms.
One of my favourite pubs / hotels in the UK, warm welcome, superb ales and comfortable, well priced rooms
Nice, clean and cozy atmosphere! Excellent breakfast and very friendly owners - we will definitely go back when in town.
My family loved staying there. The only thing and this is nit picking is I do prefer a softer pillow to sleep on. Otherwise I hope to come again.
Just had a lovely lunch here! Staff very welcoming, will definitely come back next time where down in Canterbury
I come here all the time, the staff are lovely, the product selection is great and the prices are more than reasonable. If you're an early bird you should definitely check out their breakfasts too, they are absolutely phenomenal.
Had my birthday meal here with friends and family in the bar area. My little dog was part of my party and was very welcome here in the bar area. Not many places welcome dogs so this made this very special for me. She is part of my family ;)
Great staff plus great beer = great pub. Highly recommended.
Great place to stay and staff very helpful. Food was amazing made it a very enjoyable weekend away.
Easy walking distant to trains and town everything on door step .great place to stay if visiting people at the university.
Great location friendly staff great city walking distance to the action
Great great great !! we enjoyed our stay in your hotel singing Gorillaz with you in the middle of the corridor :) Breakfast (Eggs Benedicte was excellent) !!
We will come back !! Kisses from France :)
For pub accommodation it was excellent. Was very pleased with the staff and room,a good price too.
Fantastic service and really delicious food - will go again! Thanks all, especially the delightful Jamie
Excellent warm and frendly pub. Wounderful food and a great selection of drinks.
Cosy room, nice view at the cathedral from my window. Extremly nice and serviceminded staff. I'm glad I chose this hotel.
Charming and friendly pub, beautifully located by the River Stour. I've spent many happy hours in this pub over the years.
Always a good meal and lovely staff. Will certainly go back.
A lovely pub, with a great atmosphere, will be back to try the food and accommodation in June!
A great hotel located in a traditional pub with friendly staff and an excellent location in the centre of Canterbury.
All my best recomendations.
This is where I will stay when I'm in Canterbury.
We were told to sit by the fire and as the day was bitterly cold readily agreed but as the fire never took hold it wasn’t ideal. Good place to meet up with family and friends despite the cold however
We stayed here for a 2nd time on 31st March, the first time I couldn't fault it and the only thing I felt that let it down a little this time was that the room we stayed in needed walls and furniture wiping down and a handle on the wardrobe draw was missing with a scew poking out.
Bathroom was clean but the room walls, light stitches etc were less than clean...
OTHER THAN that I have to say id still go and stay again for a few reasons,
its location is good,
the staff are lovely and very friendly and welcoming...
its reasonable value for money and they serve a good breakfast....
I dont like to bring a negative in, id have given it 5 stars had it not been for the walls and switches being abit grubby.
Thanks for looking after us
Very nice staff, somehow the accommodation needs proper rooms for disabled people. I am aware the history of the public house but even a through lift might help. Food was good and plentiful but again the breakfast could have been served a lot quicker.
Overall I would recommend the Millers Arms to any able bodied persons.
Very nice pub in a good location. Beer was also good.
Not short on atmosphere and friendly service this pub provides a warm haven on a cold day. The one thing it cannot seem to get right though is hot food and rather than go through the rigmarole of sending food back so that I was to eat alone, I put up with cold food...and not for the first time!
Lovely pub/ restaurant with very friendly staff / owners
Been to see the Xmas panto and popped in for a drink. Lovely and toasty, pleasant atmosphere and good service.
Polite service but very average food. My beer sausages just tasted of normal sausages with no beer and the menu says 'rich onion gravy' but it was runny with no onions! They brought me another jug of gravy that was exactly the same as what was on the plate and the same as was served with the roast dinner. The roast pork came with no crackling and anaemic roast potatoes. Wouldn't go back.
Surly, rude bar staff, not taking food orders due to a Christmas party in there, but no warning signs or mention from the staff when ordering the drinks. We left our half drunk drinks on the table and went to the Dolphin just over the road, which was busier than the Miller's arms but still managed to find room and serve us food too. I know where we will going the next time we are in Canterbury for the theatre...
Went there today and it was awful!! Waited patiently for the barmen to come off the phone for at least 5/10 minutes as it was a party booking, place was empty. He saw us waiting then decided to serve a old couple that walked in as he came off phone. Extremely rude and very stuck up. Went to parrot instead......much nicer and bar staff there second to none, thanks parrot.....up yours millers arms!!!
We visited this evening as a party of seven, and asked about a table in the (almost empty) dining room. We were immediately told by the bar man that he would have to check with the chef as our party was very large and they only had a small kitchen. Having visited many times over the last fifteen years, often in large parties and with the restaurant and bar areas much busier than this evening, we were rather bemused. We were given no welcome and shortly a waitress came over to let us know that it would be at least 25 minutes before she could even put our order into the kitchen due to other orders already underway - with children in our party this just wasn’t feasible so we left without a word from any staff or a goodbye.
This is such a shame - we’ve been in Canterbury nearly 20 years and regularly frequented the Millers Arms for both drinks and meals and never encountered either a size issue or staff unwillingness. With so many other places to eat and drink in Canterbury, we won’t be going back.
