What an amazing hotel, we booked through groupon and expected an average hotel but we were pleasantly surprised. The Old Ship Hotel is in immaculate condition considering it's an old hotel. The staff are all lovely and the food is out of this world. Will definitely be coming back!! Thank you.

User

Very Highly recommend staying here, It’s in a great location and the hotel is great. We stayed here for my fiancé’s birthday and they very kindly upgraded our room to a suite! It was amazing! It has everything here including secure parking onsite which is a bonus. 5/5 from us, the staff are great and can’t do enough for you. We will definitely be back! 👍🏻👍🏻

User

This hotel is amazing and beautiful had an amazing stay and will be back this Tuesday can't wait ...brilliant helpful staff

User

This Hotel was in a perfect locatiion with wonderful views . Staff were very friendly. Rooms a bit dated but clean . The atmosphere in the hotel was very relaxed . One negative thing was the poor homeless man camped at the entramce to the Hotel. My daughter and I felt worried about his welfare every time we sat in the bar as he was right there . We ended up giving him money as we felt sorry for him. We did notice however that a homeless charity from Brighron brought him water . I would definetly return though. Lovely spot to enjoy a break.

Such a good atmosphere lovely cocktails great live singers and friendly staff would highly recommend

User

Stayed 2 nights...good old fashioned hotel with all the modern comforts! Great breakfast, plenty to choose from for vegans too! The location was good as well, on the seafront not far from Brighton Pier and the "Lanes"

I'll definitely recommend it

User

Just had an utterly amazing meal at the Old Ship Hotel for our first wedding anniversary. The menu is diverse with everything from multiple options for vegans to steak. The staff were incredible; polite, welcoming and attentive without hovering or intruding.

The food itself has to be tasted to be believed! I've never had better salmon, the seasoning was absolutely superb.

If you're in the area then GO! You won't be disappointed.

We've come down from Leeds for a long weekend by the sea, but any time we are back in Brighton we will definitely be back at the Old Ship for a meal.

User

Have stayed her with my boyfirend and loved it, small touches that make a difference and the whole experience personal.

User

Had a great one night stay with dinner and breakfast , every member of staff was polite and helpful, loved the old charm of the place ,food was lovely would definitely recommend ,well done to all the staff and thank you x

User

Great location on the seafront! Close to the lanes, pier, shops and restaurants. Lovely outside seating area. Fab breakfast and lots to choose from. Nice entrance/reception, bar and restaurant.

User

Amazing time and gives you a lovely old fashioned home-like feel. The staff were incredible and the food just the same. A very cosy hotel which makes you feel right at home!

Only thing I would say was the floor boards were very squeaky and woke us up a few times through the night. Was a nice ship-like touch though

User

We had a three night stay over Christmas and were able to take our Jack Russell with us.

Fabulous Christmas lunch in the ballroom, great singer on Christmas Day and also another good singer on Boxing Day.

Staff exceptionally friendly and very helpful.

We loved the older style building it had so much character.

Parking was not a problem for us as we came by train.

Fantastic location for all that Brighton has to offer.

Breakfast was excellent, so much choice and really good quality produce.

YES we would certainly recommend this lovely old hotel.

Ollie our JRT was made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the stocking left on the bedroom door on Christmas morning, lovely touch.

Many thanks to ALL the staff

Two day birthday break midweek. We can’t praise the staff highly enough they were so helpful and helped make my birthday special. The hotel can only be described as quaintly British. It is old and shows it’s age in the bedrooms which were comfortable but dated. It’s a hotel to come to and enjoy old fashioned hospitality rather than modern minimalist style. Dinner was prebooked and definitely worth the cost. Thank you for a great couple of days.

User

Nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staf, great bar, rooms are clean just old and very creaky floor boards and very hot

User

I always stay here when visiting Brighton. Wonderful location right on the seafront. I love the outside seating area great for people watching while enjoying a drink or two. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The disabled room is bright and large as is the lovely wet room. The bed is very comfortable as are the pillows. Sadly not much of a view which is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

User

Staff polite and friendly. Foyer, reception area, bar and restaurant all look beautiful but once your past that bit hotel is very scruffy and could do with a revamp our room was ok but tired looking. Needed a decorate. No hot water. Parking was a joke £25.00 for an overnight stay shocking as you have paid for a poor room.

User

Great location and breakfast, but unhappy with the room rate vs what you get for your money.

Unless you think broken windows, stained carpets and human finger or toe nails in the bed count as extras?

Stay elsewhere if you’re looking for somewhere to put your head down.

User

Dreadful, we are locals, popped into the ship for a couple of pre diner drinks Saturday afternoon. The waitress, god love her, didn’t know what a martini was and I ended up with some sort of fruit cocktail, my friend asked what flavour ciders there were, clueless, come on give the girl a break, TRAIN HER.

Bucket chairs awful, uncomfortable and dirty. Singer, whilst very good, so loud!

Overall leave it for our holidaying friends.
