Not so much about the shopping centre overall but very impressed with the 'family room' for changing my little one. He's recently started getting very stressed out being changed in public loos but the whole set up of your family room was lovely! The quiet music playing, plenty of space for mum's and dad's and pushchairs. I liked the quiet corner with books to read as well! Wish more places were like that...rather than just a changing table hung by the urinals...eurgh!

User

My wife & i drive into town on a regular basis & we think that the Oracle centre is great! With the Broad street area as well it's a good shopping experience in a relaxed atmosphere. The riverside multi story car park can get very busy, sometimes delays happen there so we park in Kings Meadow, just off the Reading bridge roundabout.A ten minute walk up into Broad street & we are in town. It's a bit cheaper as well.

User

My first time in Reading! The Oracle is wonderful and full of choises for a chubby italian girl who can’t find so many different things in her Country. Best experience: Victoria’s Secret!! I found a lot of courtesy and patience there. Thank so much to Connie and Annie!

User

Love it, so nicely situated near railway station, lovely selection of shops and entire centre not to big it's overwhelming, plenty of lovely places to eat all nicely situated by the river. Look forward to going again.

I visited the baby changing room in the Oracle for the first time today. We took our baby twin granddaughters and their 4 year old sister, who was able to look at books in a clean, safe environment, while we changed the little ones nappies. An excellent facility!

User

I love the Oracle, the shops are great and so is the choice of food. However, I hate the extortionate costs for parking! I arrived at 2:30 left at 7:30 and I was charged £11.50!!!!! I’d rather drive the extra miles for Basingstoke or Guildford and pay £5 for all day parking! Absolute awful!

User

Had a pleasant morning shopping with friends and a lovely lunch in Giraffe. Good variety of shops, a nice change from Basingstoke local centre. However did nearly pass out when it came to pay for parking! Therefore wouldn't choose to come regularly.

User

I went to the riverside Oracle car park on Saturday and can't say I had the best experience parking wise. Firstly I had to sit and queue for at least 15 mins just after getting my ticket to start going up the ramps to the spaces. At first I put that to the sheer volume of cars entering. As I then proceeded to look for a space I started to encounter many problems- the main one being that floors 6 & 7 were closed off. One can only presume that you didn't update the ticket machines to allow for 2 floors being unable to park on and continued letting in cars. After 40 minutes of looking for an available space I decided it was useless. My husband jumped out and paid an extortionate £1.70 for parking in a car park we then drove out of and didn't park in. What a joke!! Hope it won't be like this for Christmas. What a waste of time.

User

What a very clever con! You put your parking ticket in the machine and it tells you that you owe £3.50. You put your card in (after trying the contactless pad which doesn’t work!). It then declines your card so you put cash in. When you get home you check your bank account because you are worried about the declined payment to find that they have indeed charged you despite declining your card so you pay for parking twice! I admire you for your gutsy attempt to steal my money but I will be claiming it back!!

User

The river of light switch on was awful. Waited out in the cold rain for a couple of crappy lights to turn blue. Even the kids noticed it was rubbish and didn't understand what they were meant to be looking at. Are the Oracle not embarrassed? Complete joke

User

Rediculous that a shopping centre this size only had one public toilets, couple trips up and down the upper floor looking (because surely there can’t be only one!) and a lift lift ride later, only just got there before my toddler weed herself. Not at all family friendly

User

Paid £16 to have just the outside of our car cleaned and it was left in a state! Will not be using them again

User

Love the Oracle however very disappointed in the car wash of the Riverside Carpark! £22 for absolutely nothing... not even sure they actually washed it! I did say it wasn't clean however they were quite rude about it! My car is literally still filthy and will have to get it washed again elsewhere!

User

Just found out that the Riverside amusements for the children are being forced out to make way for yet another bar! Like last year, cheap beer at expensive prices!! Now there's nowhere for the the kids to let off steam and less reason for adults to spend more time shopping after a break, seems both cynical and self-defeating. Oracle take note - there are plenty of other shopping options that do cater for families!!

User

Don’t go if if you work in oracle cos they won’t give you discount!! Even tho your entitled and if you get a Caesar salad you get four slices of chicken!

User

Disgusted with the attitude of 'security staff' following my 18 year old son around the centre - not leaving him alone when merely sitting on a chair waiting for us (his parents) - reading news on his phone and the 'manager' (Lee?) telling me this was a 'duty of care'. Good job there are plenty of other places to shop.

Yes of course 'Lee' nothing to do with being a teenage male with long hair.

We, as a family, will stick to the Broad Street Mall and Broad Street shops.

From a hugely disappointed mum of a very respectable, kind and honest teenager

User

Avoid like the plague half of the car park is shut for “improvements” no improvement works taking place at present just blocked off. 30 minutes of driving round in circles to find a space and plenty of road rage from other drivers. And on top of that I have to pay for 30 minutes in an expensive car park

User

Absolutely fuming! Just tried paying for my ticket on the 4 th floor but kept spitting it out. Went to the barrier and someone come down to take my ticket by the time they done it , it was an extra £2.30.

I had to pull over with my hazards on to wait for the manager to come down and eventually give my £2.30 back. I waited 30 minutes heavily pregnant in this heat and was late getting to where I needed to go. The lady at the ticket told me this happens all the time. Sort your ticket machines out!!
