At The Pelican we have just one rule, to make sure your visit is enjoyable π
Went with family. There were 6 of us. We had a fantastic time. Food was beautiful. Staff were great, especially Brett. Even the regular customers made us feel very welcome.
Thanks to the staff at the Pelican our night was perfect.
We moored up outside the Pelican, nervous and tired from our first full day alone on our canal boat holiday. The staff were amazing, they were friendly, funny and helpful. We ended up staying put for the next day due to terrible weather and the staff once again went above and beyond to help us out. After a day rain dodging we spent a second evening in the Pelican and our 2 children even joined in with the quiz (which was a lot of fun). I would recommend this place to families everywhere, its just a pity we don't live closer. xx
We had a great time good Friday. Came for lunch which was lovely. Kids loved the egg hunt and face painting. The easter bunny was fantastic and interacted with the kids more than we had expected. He must have been exhausted by the end of the day. Such a great atmosphere. Thanks xx
This pub has just been refurbished and wow what a difference! Great food, friendly staff. Been told they are going to do up the garden by the river in the coming months, can't wait to see this in time for the good weather. Fully recommend this establishment.
The 'new' Pelican is long overdue.....the food is fabulous, just working my way through the menu....steak cooked to perfection, burgers great, chicken wings great. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Garden coming on a treat. LOVE the new Pelican
Since the new refurb & management The Pelican is great. Really friendly, great food and it's right on the riverside so you can enjoy a pint and watch the boats go by. Top marks! :)
Peaceful place to chill out,
Good service, nice view by the river.
One of my favourite place
Just got home after the rock night..... Was there with family and friends, the atmosphere and the music was top notch... And the staff are excellent too.... Great pub.... Well done οΏ½
I am always fussy with my food but I have to say this place is exceptional. Food lovingly prepared and staff whose attention to detail is exemplary. It was the first time i visited it will definitely not be the last. I may well move to call this my local. The best pub I have been in in decades! The landlord is also a real gent. Heres to you and the team at the pelican Brett!οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½
Great pub, I live in Spain but now and again visit my hometown and I always pop in to the Pelican for a drink and some good food, service is always excellent plus friendly staff, landlords a nice chap he always remembers my face even though my visits are infrequent, plus its kid friendly, what more can I say.
Great pub with really welcoming staff, food is really good and have eaten there numerous times over the last year or so. Wed pub quiz is really well put together and they have some great live music
Good Friday was a fab afternoon....Food was great..!! kids had a great time with the egg hunt and face painting..and the Easter bunny went above and beyond with all the kids..he deserves a medal !!...thanks for a great start to our Easter weekend......
Went here 10yrs ago it was 2 star then husbands birthday with grandchildren and son in law also nephew nice atmosphere food good had a mojto first one lovely second none no good should make cocktail the same try keep good work up
Great pub with friendly staff who treated us to some 80βs classics! Food was ok and the drinks went down well on what was a lovely Saturday in Addlestone where my sister and I used to visit our Aunty who live nearby. Thanks for a nice time folks.
The staff were friendly and very helpful (we were a last minute booking). I would have to say the food on the whole was average as out of four dishes, two were good. My son thought his burger (The Piggy burger) was good, my husband enjoyed the Mediterranean Platter, a nice selection of hams, cheese, olives etc. My other son ordered the mini burger platter and was expecting 'mini' burgers, the portion size was quite off-putting as they were more the size of a children's burger portion and there were six of them!! So definitey one for sharing and to be fair they are called sharing platters, I think we misunderstood, assuming you would maybe share if you were going to have another dish also. They weren't terribly exciting and the salad leaves were nowhere to be seen, so presentation was a bit bland. I had the lasagne, which I thought distinctly average, more like a supermarket ready meal type, not homemade but maybe I shouldn't order one of my favourite dishes to cook! The garlic ciabatta accompaniment was cold soft bread, whereas I was expecting toasted garlic bread, again maybe my expectations are too much? The service was good, but they weren't busy. All in all, we thought it was okay, but only okay.
Nice place, great food when it eventually came, some of the bar staff were miserable, but thankfully there was a group of us so we enjoyed ourselves anyway.
First time here last night good time lovely place friendly people no waiting for drinks ! Band got everyone up dancing , never knew this pub existed and I only live in Chertsey, will next come for sunday lunch
Nice looking pub, friendly staff - but horrible food! I ordered a burger . . . . . Revolting. Certainly not made in their kitchen - just a cheap frozen disaster. Said it came with chunky chips (or a description to that effect . . . . ) but was served awful skinny fries - again obviously straight out the freezer. Not a good lunch.
