Third Birthday Party!!!!!
We are hosting our very own Festive third birthday party - can you believe it’s been three years since we flung open our doors?! How time flies when you're having fun…
To start December off with a cracker-pulling bang we will be joined from 7pm on Friday 30th November by a few of our favourite distillers. And will be bringing along their distinctive gins and creating the perfect serve. If gin isn’t your chosen tipple do not fear, we will also have ...some of our favourite brewers here so you can sample their beers. If both of those aren't your cup of tea - we also have Antony Byrne Fine wines coming down for the evening too!
To get your feet tapping we will have live music from The Whisky Sours who will be playing in the bar to really get the party started. Singing a mixture of party tunes and festive songs to start December in real style.
A birthday party wouldn't be a party without cake - so believe us, there is a real treat in store.
No tickets needed just give us a call on 01737 221355 to reserve your spot or ping us an email.
We look forward to celebrating with you,
Beth and Team Pheasant

Top three things about Autumn:
* Real, open fires in country pubs 🔥
* Crisp morning walks kicking the colourful autumnal leaves 🍁
... * Warming (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) drinks such as mulled cider - watch this space for when it’s available here! 🍷

Went for my dads 80th birthday

Food was excellent, waitress was very good and the whole experience was brilliant

Thank you for making it very special for my dad

User

Visited The Pheasant for Sunday lunch. Exceptional food and fantastic service, will be back very soon. Thank you Beth and Team Pheasant

User

Really good quality food at remarkably reasonable prices. Good service even when it gets busy. Nice open floorplan so even if it is packed it doesn't feel overwhelmingly crowded. It has become our go-to spot while we are in the area.

User

Really friendly and efficient staff (think I was served by a lovely girl called Holly) - compliments to the chef too - this is my local haunt for a relaxing drink after work. Treated my dad to dinner here recently and he said it was the best lamb shank he’d ever had My dinner was spot on too. Big thank you for the always warm welcome

User

My boyfriend has been telling me how great this pub was for months and it really does live up to it . The foods amazing , the staff are really polite and professional. Really looking forward to going back .

User

Lovely pub and garden. Menu was great and we booked this for my mums birthday as she liked the gin menu

User

I love this place, we've been several times on different days\evenings and have enjoyed it every time. It's a great, busy pub in a lovely setting, both child & dog friendly & the service has always been good

User

Fab gin festival - very well organised. Welcoming & happy staff, good food & lots & lots of gin. Will 100% be back.

User

Brilliant lunch, lovely pub and fantastic attentive and courteous staff. Thank you !

User

Amazing lunch on weds.. highly recommended!!!

Louise was very welcoming, and polite great service will highly recommended

User

Absolutely wonderful. It felt as though we were dining in someone's home. I think one of the main reasons for this was that staff don't wear uniforms, and there are lots of lovely cosy corners with armchairs and fireplaces. The food was delicious and the staff (can't remember the names) were welcoming, friendly, and proud of their company. One was able to list a number of pubs locally in the same group.

User

We had a family dinner on Easter Sunday was expecting a slow service and packed restaurant but the service was excellent food was great and the restaurant was busy but not packed will most certainly be going back again

User

Beautiful garden and outside space, great selection of ales, beers etc..

Food pretty good too, although my daughter had the chicken goujons and they were drier than Gandhi's flip flop! My burger was great and my Mrs had the fish cakes, one coke, one JD and 2 pints of Mosaic £40 all in so fair value.

Bar staff smiley and friendly although I got the impression no one seemed to be in charge and they seemed a bit under staffed. This is a management issue and not a reflection of how we were treated by the 'workers' !

Would go back again but not immediately.

User

We visited The Pheasant today for a special family occasion. We were very pleased with the food and setting but our meal was somewhat ruined by our waiter called Andrew. His manner was awful throughout the meal and the final straw came when he told us we needed to leave so he could set up for the next table. At no point during the booking process or when we arrived were we told that there was a time limit on the table. Our family do not manage to get together very often and it was sad that we felt rushed and did not get to order tea or coffee to end the meal.

User

The wait for the food was ridiculous but it was tasty when it finally arrived. Although there lots of the dishes unavailable.

User

Not bad, but the food did not match the menu.

However great decour and warm friendly staff

User

Booked a table for breakfast, six people to celebrate my wife's birthday. £10 for a full English very steep, eggs of choice, 2 thin sausages & 2 rashers of mediocre bacon, a mushroom & tomato then half a plate of toast, no beans??!!

Like many others have commented, service extremely slow which lets this beautifully presented establishment down, a shame.

User

Used to come here a lot when it was The Jolly Farmers and loved it. Got to say how disappointed I am that my partner and I paid £6.25 each yesterday for ONE slice of cheese on toast each for lunch!! And £3.50 for a measly portion of fries!! Spent £16 on lunch (even more with drinks) but left still hungry. Such a shame.

User

The waitress was slow & flat! & very slow

At clearing, we had to ask for drinks.

The meals were disappointing , my partners duck & sauce was awful like cold soup.

My beef salad was dripping in sweet chilli sauce spoiling it

Not going back.
