Enjoy the tranquillity and seclusion of our spacious and newly refurbished pool house chalet, located on our 30 acre working farm, equestrian centre and coarse fishery in the rural hamlet of Henton on the outskirts of Chinnor, Oxfordshire.
Opened for the first time as a vacation home in 2016, we are sure that The Pool House @ Upper Farm Henton will be your home away from home.
With its own private swimming pool (heated from May to September) and a 6 person year round hot tub jacuzzi spa, you are surrounded by acres of green paddocks and our 1 acre carp and coarse fishing lake. Our self-catering chalet is the perfect setting for guests who want to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The Pool House @ Upper Farm Henton is ideal for couples looking for a romantic getaway, or as a base for families, walkers, cyclists, anglers and business travellers and as we are only 40 minutes from Heathrow airport it’s also ideal for international visitors.
Located in an Area of Natural Beauty and with spectacular views over the Chiltern Hills to Bledlow Ridge, it is the perfect setting for those who want a relaxing break in the beautiful South Oxfordshire countryside. The village of Chinnor is 1. 5 miles away with convenience stores and a few eateries, plus we have the Chinnor Steam Railway. The town of Princes Risborough is just 4 miles away, with a good rail service into London Marylebone (40 to 50 minutes) and the historic market town of Thame is 7 miles away. We are also close to Oxford and Bicester Village.
For birdwatchers, our fishing lake is surrounded by trees and is the home to red kites, kingfishers, sparrow hawks, woodpeckers, buzzards, kestrels, ducks, moor hens, pheasants and some very friendly robins and wrens. In the evening you are likely to see foxes, badgers, rabbits, munt jack and deer.
With two public footpaths running through the farm, walkers and cyclists can quickly and easily get on to the Phoenix trail and The Ridgeway, with miles upon miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore.
Angling guests at The Pool House have unlimited and inclusive access during their stay to fish our 1 acre carp and coarse lake located 100m from your holiday accommodation.

Reviews
The pool is now open and heated to around 26 degrees. We've also installed a new motorised pool cover to make it easier for guests to open and close to pool during their stays with us.
It took a while to get planning approval, but our new lodges are now up an running and ready to accept guests. The Pool House has been a phenomenal success over the past 3 years and our new lodges offer ever more luxury and little details to enhance your stay.

Hello Facebook friends, we've just had a cancellation from Friday 31st August to Sunday 2nd September (2 nights), so I thought I'd let our facebook followers know as these dates are likely to get re-booked quickly.
The Pool House is ready for summer and the pool is now heated to a toasty 28 degrees thanks to the new Air Source Heat Pump that we installed a few weeks ago.

Well after almost a year of trying to get planning to build 3 vacation rental log cabins by the lake, we have finally received planning approval after going to appeal.
We now start the process of finalising the works and placing the orders, but for a sneak peak of what's coming, please take a look at the Woodsman 3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom and Woodsman 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom virtual tours below, which are the lodges we plan to purchase. As with the Pool House each lodge will have i...t's own private hot tub and yes, the 1 bedroom lodge has a sauna as well.

As part of our continual improvement programme, we've replaced all the old wooden windows and the old patio doors and main door with shiny new uPVC windows and doors. Black on the outside to match the external aesthetics and white on the inside to keep the Pool House feeling light and airy.

We have had a last minute cancellation for this coming weekend Friday 22nd to Monday 25th September. Minimum stay 2 nights, for anybody looking for a last minute break in the countryside.

It's hard to believe that the Pool House has been available as a Vacation Chalet for just over a year. We've worked hard to create a warm and welcoming self catering vacation experience and I'd like to thank all of our past guests for their excellent and constructive feedback and reviews. It's those positive reviews that have led to us being awarded with a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for 2017.
We continue to add enhancements to the Pool House. For this summer we hav...e put in 6 new pool loungers (the same as those used on P&O cruises). We have also added Cole & Lewis toiletries to the bathroom.
We plan to introduce chickens to the farm soon, so that guests can start their day with freshly laid eggs, and we'll be replacing the windows towards the end of the summer.
