The Pop-Up Gallery Project Description
Richmond based Artist Sue Dewhurst established The Pop-Up Gallery Cic in 2010 to bring great art, artists, workshops, creative happenings and more to places of rural / social isolation in the Yorkshire Dales. Highlights include the Inaugural Dales Festival of Art, May 2013 in Leyburn which brought 4000 people to an art trail, sculpture park, art market, workshops and Veterans exhibition in Leyburn, The very moving Beacon Art Challenge facilitating residents at the Riverside's War Veterans homeless unit in the creation of their own exhibition and silent art auction and over 40 one off pop-up exhibition and workshop events throughout The Dales.
NB The Pop-Up Gallery Cic is in no way connected to Cllr Curran's charity shop Pop-Up Gallery in Richmond although Sue wishes it every success.
