Well folks, the day is near - we are delighted to announce that our own micropub The Reading Rooms will open on the 22nd of June!

A very tasteful conversion of this grade II listed building into a beautiful micropub with a well stocked bar and a good selection of very well kept ales, lager and cider.



Comfortable, cosy and classy - this is a great addition to Wheathampstead.

Perfect new addition to our little village! Great atmosphere and even better beer, with a good selection of locally produced products for every taste.

Just spent a very pleasant impromptu lunchtime with my dog cooling off in the Reading Rooms .. wonderful atmosphere, lovely friendly staff and very welcoming to all. I met some lovely people and I could’ve stayed there all afternoon chatting .. just loved it when an elderly lady came in .. she’d been waiting for her bus but changed her mind and came in to join us instead. Highly recommend �
