Really sorry we have had to close the kitchen today . Hampshire County Council have decided to dig up all roads leading to the pub so we have no choice. We will be open this evening if the chef can get through to prep for service. We have kept the bar open for those arriving by foot!!😞

*LOST PHONE FOUND*
Hello, there has been a phone found on the road of North Lane near the entrance to our car park. Unfortunately the phone appears to have been run over as the screen is pixelated and smashed... we can see that there is a lady called Sheila trying to message and call the phone but unfortunately we cannot answer it.
If you know anyone who may have lost it please come in and see us! We wanted to reunite the phone with its owner, even if it is a bit battered an...d bruised 😊
Please share so we can help find the owner!
Good night!

We went to the Rising Sun last Thursday for the steak night to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Jen had a sirloin and I paid extra for the fillet and both were absolutely perfect.

The service excellent and attentive in fact we can’t fault the evening at all, brilliant.

User

We live locally and call in for a drink now and then. Stopped going for meals a while back because we found the menu to be limited and the service inattentive and slow. We saw there was a new menu on the Facebook page and tonight decided to give it a go. What a difference! Plenty of choices on the menu and the food when it arrived was excellent. The service was very good. We will be visiting again after a very enjoyable meal.

User

Stopped by today for a light lunch. Kelly and Jack could not have been more helpful ensuring we had a great time. Sandwiches and baguettes were delicious and the chips were the best! Topped with great beer and a tasty gin and tonic, what more could you ask for!

User

Stayed at the Rising Sun while helping our son and daughter in law move from Clanfield to Hambledon. The new owners could not be more accommodating, even opening the newly decorated room early for us. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the bedroom with en suite was first class. We enjoyed a wonderful meal for 6 of us in the evening and the steaks were superb. The liver and bacon was to die for and the pudding superb. Would highly recommend and more than happy to stay again.

User

Popped in for a drink after walking the dog, great pub very friendly. They also allow dogs at the bar end of the pub, haven't managed to get there for lunch, but the meals look very good.

User

I had a fantastic night at the Rising Sun whilst watching the Jammers. Having not visited the pub for 30 year I couldn't believe the difference ! A whole new building !!! But it looked so in place in a small Hampshire village, looking like it had been there forever !! The staff were friendly helpful and polite as were the locals who made a stranger feel very welcome ! I couldn't rate this establishment high enough and the food looked outstanding , definitely going to give it a try!! Thanks for a brilliant night and fantastic experience ! 10 out of 10

User

Amazing food, such good quality and variety. As a drinking establishment, equally as excellent. Spent my birthday there with friends, were happy for me to leave my car in the car park overnight and stayed open till our late taxi (next review up for AndiCars, will not be as glowing!) turned up! Thanks guys, would recommend to everyone!

User

User

What a lovely day. I’m not a gin expert but I was guided through some real taste experiences. I’ll be back for the coconut and lemon one, thanks for the recommendation x
