Live music tonight (6th July) with Phil Holbird of Alex & Phil fame and his mate Wayne. Playing from 9.30. Sure to be eclectic yet crowd pleasing!

User

What a pleasant surprise...the staff was super friendly and welcoming...the chef couldn't have been more helpful...he made my mussels dairy free and they were delicious...by the reviews on here am tempted to try Sunday lunch xx

User

What a lovely pub! I'm working in the area for 2 weeks and I'd walked down to the shop on Sunday, forgetting it was Sunday! The Rising Sun was warm and welcoming and served delicious coffee. The staff are lovely and didn't mind me just having coffee and a read on a busy Sunday lunchtime...!

User

We have eaten here twice. On a Friday night and Sunday lunch. Both times the atmosphere, the beer and the food has been great. It was very busy on the Sunday and took a bit longer to get drinks....but hey ho... It is worth a trip out to Milland the beautiful drive from lynchmere is glorious. Why no t give the pub a try?

User

We had our wedding reception at the Rising Sun and it was amazing! Staff were so helpful. Owner was brilliant to talk to and offered help and advice with everything we could think of.

User

The Risiing Sun at Milland is a great pub. The staff are always so welcoming whether you are a regular or a new comer. The food is excellent varied menu but always cooked freshly. Food quality consistent, never had a bad meal there.

User

Thank you to Ben and his fabulous staff for yet another fantastic event at The Riser. A wonderful Christening lunch was laid on and all of our guests loved the food (not your usual standard bbq!), facilities (exclusive use of most of the HUGE garden), and service. Ben couldn’t have done more to smooth it out.

It was so good that our lunch became a bit of a ‘Leo Sayer’ and my husband and I (minus the kids I hasten to add!) were last out of the bar! Simply awesome. Thank you.

User

Never fails to satisfy. Right up at the top of our favourite eateries.

User

My 30th birthday meal with family and absolutely loved the food, service and atomsphere. Thank u too all the staff

User

It’s one of the best local pubs with honest, local and superb food around. The fact it’s in a idyllic village of Milland and is quintessentially English, is perfect. I find it a real pleasure going back every time and just be able to relax and enjoy great food and company. Plus they have loads of great local bands on quite often as well!!!! Well worth the trip down. Dog friendly, child friendly, plus a great little garden. A****

I visited last night for dinner with my partner and friends. I've only ever been to 'Milfest' previously. Super good, excellent service great advice from the waitress regarding our

Dinner. Couldn't have been happier! I've been missing a trick with this lovely place just down the road! Will 100% be returning and recommending! Fab wine always helps! X

User

I are here last night and can honestly say it was one ofthe best meals I have ever eaten! Crispy belly pork with leek and potato cake with caramelised chicory and cider jus, followed by lime honey cheesecake with honeycomb! I would have happily paid double the price on the menu for that quality! Amazing.

User

Historic, best pub Dinner I've ever had, lovely food, Parfait of Liver, Pork Belly (to die for) hazelnut Tiramisu, all superbly presented and served by an excellent waitress called Holly. Absolutely delicious, thanks guys.

User

Had another brilliant meal here tonight for my brothers birthday. Yes you do have to wait for a bit....but it's definitely worth it!!!!! Great staff, very helpful. Can't wait to come back again

User

Excellent food with the best fish and chips ever. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. Love this place.

Due to a baby recently being born we haven't been to the rising sun for a while. Now he's a little older we decided to give it a go hoping he didn't scream the place down. Luckily he was very good and loved by the amazing staff there. Can't say a bad thing about the rising sun. 10/10 in every department.

The Menu was a bit limited especially for vegetarians. A salad main course option would have been nice for those of us struggling with our weight. Staff were very polite but service was a tad slow especially towards the end of the evening.

User

Delicious food, great service and really friendly staff. First time visitor but I'll definitely be back.
