The Rolling Scones

Sometimes life overtakes us and plans have to change which is what has happened to the person who ordered this beautiful birthday cake so it is no longer needed. It's 2-tier, 8" caramel sponge sitting on a 10" chocolate sponge, it's covered in very good quality sugar paste so uncut it will keep for weeks. The topper can be taken off and replaced however neither the pumas or the lace would be removable without damaging the sugar paste underneath. So, if anyone can make use of a stunningly beautiful cake, make us an offer!

Thanks to everyone who came to Wyvern yesterday despite the atrocious weather conditions. We took 9 of our most popular mega cakes - the Rolo, Mars, Caramac, Snickers, Terry's, Ferrero, Twix, Bueno and the Malteser (with reindeers!) - 111 slices were snapped up - guess we'll just have to set to and make more!

We're back from Sheffield so it's business as usual - cakes just come out of the oven and everything! Anyway, before we went we had a late delivery on Friday for Nikita's birthday cake and what a whopper of a cake it was too. Interesting delivering something this big in the wind and rain!

I made an awkward request to the rolling scones, 1 cake, one half carrot cake and the other lemon drizzle. They took up the challenge immediately and surpassed all of our expectations. The cake was delicious. Both sides an absolute treat, really moist and delicate. Decorated beautifully it was a fantastic addition to our celebration.
