We are super lucky to have Queen Victoria’s beloved Osborne House here on our little island. 💛
This stunning house is one of our most favourite places to visit on the Isle of Wight… It’s beauty, it’s grand history and its link to our own beloved hotel. Visit Victoria and Albert’s seaside home and soak up the history for yourself. See the first floor or their wonderful house and take a stroll through the garden terraces where the stunning views of the Solent reminded Prince Al...bert of the Bay of Naples. ⛱
Did you know that Queen Victoria’s seaside home is only a short bus ride from The Royal Esplanade? Soak up the history in and around Osbourne House and maybe even enjoy a delicious high tea too! 🏠⭐️

From myself, Perry, Julie & Lee!

User

cannot fault this hotel.was there for a short break with national holidays..comfortable room, very good breakfast and lovely evening meal.Staff could not be faulted, friendly and very obliging, nothing was a bother for them.location excellent, ideal for buses, trains and hovercraft that are directly opposite the hotel.reasonably priced drinks and entertainment on an evening.would certainly return to this hotel..thank you for an enjoyable stay..

User

We had an excellent meal at the hotel this week, the food was delicious! The service was superb too, extremely friendly and helpful staff. The Esplanade seem to have got everything spot on , well done. Have already booked to return with family next week!

User

We had a 4 day break half board with national holidays as we had never been to the Isle of Wight, I have to say we were so impressed with the hotel and staff. Our room was very modern, very clean and everything you would need for your stay. The meals were very tasty cooked perfect and hot, the staff could not do enough for you it made our stay perfect. I felt spoilt, thank you to every member of staff for this. We will definitely be staying again but for longer, we highly recommend this hotel and you won't be disappointed.

User

Our first coach trip room was fine food was ready nice breakfast service are young boys and girls need a bit of training not organised but great and very helpful would come back staff very friendly

User

Lovely big room , amazing staff particularly the reception staff . Good location .

User

Lovely Edwardian hotel. Can't complain about a thing Staff were very friendly. Couldn't do enough for you right from house keeping to bar staff and waiting tables. Would highly recommend this hotel Will definitely go back. Ideally located for the use of public transport. The only thing was I'm Welsh and trying to get them to understand me. Lol We did have a bit of fun. My hair dryer packed in. I nearly had a new television for my room. Thank you for a lovely week See you soon.

User

Just stayed the weekend I could not fault the place it was beautiful staff were kind polite all the time the only problem I had was trying to work the shower lol the food was lovely would love to stay again xx

User

Just come back from a long weekend with National Holidays, lovely hotel nice room, for was plentiful staff very obliging great for public transport directly across from the hotel, was train, buses and hover port , would certainly come back.

User

I stayed with my sister for three days (commencing from the 15th of May). Beautiful food - the steak and ale pie being my favourite. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely decor and comfortable rooms with adequate space for everything. We can't wait to come again!

User

I stayed in this hotel for the Jack80 weekend. Lovely spacious room, friendly staff, lovely bar area, food was good. Very clean hotel too. They all work very hard to make it a pleasurable stay. Will be booking for next August once dates are released for next Jack80.

User

I stayed for one night at the weekend and will be back again. I had a single room on the top floor and whilst up in the eaves, it was a decent size, with a sea view. Everything was fine, although the hot/cold on the shower had a fine adjustment! Staff were friendly, food was excellent and they had a decent selection if drinks at the bar. Further plus was the pool table in the small bar at the back. Although there was a birthday party going on in the function room, service was prompt and efficient.

A great hotel at a great price!

User

Had a fantastic two night stay, rooms were spotless, cleaned to a high standard every day, The staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Everything is close by, bus station, train station, taxi rank and hovercraft literally outside the front door, great view across the Solent from our sea view room, the only negative was the noise from the hovercraft nothing the hotel could do about that. We will definitely be returning to the Isle of White and we will certainly stay here again. Thank you Royal Esplanade Hotel for making our stay a pleasant and memorable one.

User

First visit, friendly staff, excellent food and a good selection of drinks - it certainly won't be our last visit.

User

We stayed here on a "price is wight" offer, so expected not to enjoy the same as full-paying guests. The staff we dealt with were very pleasant, but once we had checked out interest disappeared and they hardly bothered to say goodbye or thank you, just carried on talking and laughing along themselves. The room was clean and pleasant (refurbished bathroom very impressive!) and we liked the older furnishings and fireplace. I asked for a lower floor room as my husband has walking restrictions but we were given second floor accommodation. (Near to a lift I have to say). The food was very nice, my requests for changes to the menu were cheerfully met, although the potatoes were rock hard! My husbands filet mignon steak was delicious and well worth the supplement...... breakfast was good too. The music played in the dining room was far too loud & intrusive & there was different music in the other part of the restaurant which was confusing to say the least! Other hotels we have stayed in provide tissues & bottled water in the rooms, but these were not available in ours (this may be because of aforementioned price is wight offer). These are not large criticisms but as you asked for a review here's mine! Some of the other negative reviews aren't justified in my opinion. Just need a few corners rubbed off!

User

Crap room , very small for double couldn’t open bathroom door hit bottom of bed . Telly was on low ledge so had to use waste bin to put telly on . Food was average but staff very attentive . Will not return

User

Staff on the phone was very unprofessional when I was making enquiries about our stay. We have stayed here before and found it excellent hence why we came back but so disappointed this year with the breakfast and staff waiting on the tables we sat for ages not being asked if we would like tea or coffee whilst the girls just stood around. We wasn’t offered toast either. When the breakfast came it was actually inedible the sausages cooked that much there wasn’t any meat left in the middle the bacon wasn’t good and the beans tasted so cheap and the scrabbled egg was like water so we left the hotel hungry. Just generally found the majority of the staff rude and unhelpful apart from the boys who were on the desk when we arrived who helped us with our luggage. The room itself was clean and a lovely view few damp patches but it’s an old building and the single beds are very small but very comfy. Hopefully next year you can redeem yourself with a good breakfast and service like last year.

User

Room was nice although I had requested sea view but they don't give them to coach tours. Food left a lot to be desired and so did the restaurant staff. Good location but at times made to feel like second class citizen as with National Holidays

User

Very disappointed, the view from our window is of the back alley and bins. Rooms are very small with not enough room for bedside table and lamp. Breakfast choice is limited. All in all very poor value for money.
