We would like to wish William a happy 8th Birthday
We’ve been coming here for years and it just gets better with age.
We love the lamb, the pork belly, the wine but most of all the service. We started going here as a couple, bringing our little dog who was always welcomed and made a fuss of.
Now with an almost 5 year old, we still have the little dog and it’s still our favourite place for lunch and now it’s our daughter’s favourite too �
We have been coming here for years, it's our favourite place to eat. If we have visitors we always bring them here. The food is consistently fantastic, the staff are always friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is great. The beer garden is an excellent place to visit in summer. Sam, Rez and the rest of the staff are great.
Visited here for lunch today and I must say the food was amazing! Staff were very friendly and great with the kids, will definitely be back despite the hour and half journey! Thank you
Very friendly staff. 2nd visit here and the food is great. Nice beer garden as well.
This was the second time we have eaten here recently and both times the food has been fantastic and brilliant service! A real cosy little country pub with simple but well cooked food, not trying to be anything it's not.
So lucky to have pubs like this locally and even better they accept our Gourmet Card! Thankyou for another lovely visit!

If you want to go somewhere in the English countryside, have amazing food, and great prices in nice setting, I HIGHLY recommend the Shoulder of Mutton. I will be back

Saturday 22nd. Buffalo wings and lamb shank: beautifully cooked and presented. Very filling so couldn't handle the cheese, though I wanted to.
Choice of beer a bit limited but the Shiraz made up for it.
Lovely traditional pub atmosphere with an open fire. Staff were so hospitable and friendly, really made you feel like a local. Food was fantastic, classic English pub food with a gourmet twist. I would recommend to anyone and will be sure to go again!!
Only small thing I would ask if they could stop using plastic straws as they have an extremely bad impact on the environment. Maybe to consider using paper straws instead. I would also have preferred if the bar staff asked if I would like a straw rather than putting one straight in my drink which didn’t give me the option to refuse.
Loved the food and countryside garden first time and now they have wood fired pizza that kids can make too it's even better! Would highly recommend

My wife and I owned the restaurant for nearly 18 years and We Hardley eat in any other restaurant as we are very fussy eaters but in the whole area we recommend three restaurants:
Queens head in Dogmosfiled one of our regular places,Shoulder of Mutton and Paradiso in fleet Because they Run By Profesional people who they care about customers and they don't only think of making money and get you out!
You wouldn't know the difference between these restaurants and others unless you try them and we are very glad we tried them and we will not change them with any others .
Look forward to see you guys at my wife's birthday in December. And thanks again to Rez the owner and every single staff there for the great Birthday I received. ���
Had a wonderful meal. Fantastic location with great countryside views. The staff were brilliant. I would certainly recommend the Sunday roast. We'll be going back to try the garden pizza oven. So many dishes I'd like to try, the menu is great.
Had a fantastic birthday meal this evening. Had chicken risotto and the others had our of the day and lasagne, the puddings were fantastic too. The service was perfect and all staff very helpful. Highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again. Thank you �
Great food, perfect size portions, very relaxing atmosphere & great service..the chicken risotto was perfect..
Been here now about 5 times. Every single time it is top notch food. I highly recommend this place. And what can I say about the staff absolutely fabulous. So so friendly. I could eat here every day. Spot on. 😍😍 keep doing what your doing guys. Don't ever change your chef. 😁 see you next time. Xx

Beautiful homely pub... service was so friendly and such attentive staff ... food was exquisite and such a good choice it was hard to decide. We eat out a lot and are always looking for somewhere new .. think we have found our regular . A++++

This ultimately friendly and relaxed pub is situated in an idyllic location with far reaching countryside views from its perfectly secluded beer garden..not just a beer garden though..a stylish terrace with pizza and prosecco bar, a multitude of carefully positioned picnic tables and waiter service meaning that you literally don’t have to move � drink a cold beer or a sumptuous glass of white wine while watching the sun drop behind the trees..you could easily be in the Italian countryside. Highly recommended to all..the service and attention will not disappoint you.
