The Subaquatic Steampunk Weekend Description
The Royal Navy Submarine Museum will be holding its first ever Subaquatic Steampunk Weekend.
Take a dive and enter a fantastical steampunk world full of nautical wonders, gadgets and gizmos. Come and take a look at the curiosities the steampunk market has to offer. Why not take part in our steampunk fashion show, tea dulling and art competitions. Be entertained by our Steampunk performers and musicians.
Step back in time to discover the story of the Royal Navy Submarine Service from its earliest days at the start of the 20th Century travelling through to the modern nuclear powered fleet.
Explore HMS Alliance, the only remaining WW2 era British ocean going submarine. Holland 1, the first Royal Navy submarine built in 1901, and X24, the only midget submarine to have survived from WW2.

It is with regret to inform you all that The Subaquatic Steampunk Weekend will not take place this year and for the foreseeable future due to circumstances beyond our control.
We would like to thank each and everyone of you splendid people who attended and supported this event over the past 2 years. It has been an incredible honour to work with such talented and unique artists and such wonderful creative people to help make the event a reality.
The Subaquatic Steampunk Week...end has created some wonderful memories for us and we hope they have for our guests too.
Please do keep suppoting Steampunk events and this incredibly unique and beautiful community.

Wow! what an incredible weekend it has been. We are still buzzing! We would like to thank each and every one of you who attended this weekend, for your support, creativity, and love. You all looked so splendid in your attire!

If you are intending to purchase your tickets on the gate please do note that it is a CASH ONLY till. The closest cash machine is in Gosport town centre (10 min walk from the museum). You can purchase your tickets online from the link below.
If you splendid explorers are taking your journey by airship here is some information to help you find you way.
... Please note you will not be able to park in the museum. Nearest parking information can be found by clicking the linky thing below. There are limited disabled spaces available inside the museum for those that hold a blue badge. Please ask a member of staff at the museum gate if you require a disabled space.
You will also be able to catch a free Waterbus service directly to the Submarine Museum from the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. With a valid ticket.
The Waterbus times from Portsmouth Historic Dockyard to Submarine Museum are:
10:15, 10:45, 11:15, 12:15, 13:15, 14:15.
Return trip times from Submarine Museum to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard are:
15:00, 15:30, 16:30, 17:00
Please note if you miss the last return waterbus you will have to get the Gosport Ferry back over. This is 10 minutes walk from the museum. Trip cost ┬Ż3.50.
There is also a Portsmouth park and ride service that can be utilised. Information can be found in the link.
