The Tiger Inn Description

The Tiger Inn at Stowting is over three hundred years old, and has a strong reputation for serving the very best country cooking, as well as having a wide selection of wines, lagers, ciders and real ales.

Rustically decorated with plenty of wooden features, hanging hops and candlelit tables, you'll receive a warm welcome from our friendly staff and enjoy some of the highest rated food and drink in the area.

The Tiger Inn is dog friendly (ask for a free doggy treat at the bar) and also has a delightful beer garden with seasonal flowers, a water feature, a log store for use by smokers, and several picnic benches.

Reservations are always welcome (and are usually necessary to ensure that we have a table available). Please email info@tigerinn. pub or call 01303 862 130.

Went for evening meal with friends not been for few years.....still a very welcoming place . New people I believe since I was last there.... lovely food ....little disapointed in starter ...sharing plater ..however everything else made up for it all delicious and fairly resonably prices for the quality. Very friendly and afficient staff ..we will certainly recommend and be back. Thank you

User

Very friendly staff excellent service. Great food the fruit crumble to die for. Brought dog bowl of water.

Definitely will be returning.

This is a wonderful hidden away pub with a fantastic restaurant. We found it by accident years ago and have had a few marvellous meals here. Sunday roasts are always great and the menu and specials are a very English selection with a few modern European twists. Thoroughly recommended. This is child and dog friendly with professional attentive and friendly staff and if you want to have, for example, crumble of the day served as a side order to take the edge off your custard, you can

The food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be going back again very soon

Lovely venue and excellent food. We hired the venue for my sis in law’s wedding and everything was perfect. Definitely recommend it.

User

Lovely place, great food and wine staff are really helpful, don't go on the off chance you could be disappointed, book and make sure you get a table, the seafood food platter was amazing and the portions are very good, bread and olives, bread was warm and fresh olives were of good quality. Cant wait to visit again to try out something different, the roast looked lovely as they wafted past!

has parking to the rear of the pub, and a little bit out the front.

Just eaten for the first time at the Tiger Inn and it was fabulous, we will definitely be returning

User

It was my first time there & it didn't disappoint. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. I had the Chorizo Scotch Egg starter and Seafood Platter main (my other half had the Crayfish Cocktail starter and the Pork Belly main) and we both had the Gypsy Tart for dessert. Neither of us could find fault in any of the dishes.

The staff were friendly & helpful even during a medical emergency.

Can't wait to go back...I want the Pork Belly next!!

User

Had our first visit today for birthday lunch and it was delish! Couldn’t recommend enough. 100% most definitely will be rebooking for another visit staff were so lovely with my little boy too.

User

Great country pub with exceptional food. Every dish came out hot with good traditional English menu. Loved the beef and mushroom pie. Staff even came out a sang Happy Birthday to the birthday boy.

User

Excellent as always.. staff are very welcoming and the food is delicious and more importantly we take our bulldog with us and they love him and he loves going there and makes himself at home on the cushions lol 😂

User

Came here again yesterday. Our 3rd time. And yet again didn’t disappoint! It was very busy, We were a group of 4, all our starters came out together as did our mains and they were all hot and tasted amazing! Thank you! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be back

User

Booked a meal for my birthday this evening. We were immediately greeted by such a friendly guy who made us feel welcome and showed us to the table. Really attentive service from both the guys who served us, delicious food (we had Brie starters, pie, beef brisket and crème brûlée) and lovely wine - very reasonably priced! All in all, a lovely meal, great service and a great setting. Thank you for making my birthday meal a special one!

User

A surprise gem tucked away, right beside the North Downs Way. We received a very friendly welcome; and although the pub was very busy on a Saturday evening we had very attentive, efficient service and a delicious supper. Very pleased to thoroughly recommend The Tiger lurking in the Kent Downs

User

Eaten here twice , lovely food but last visit was slightly disappointing as we were seated in the bar area . Too draughty by the door and extremely loud inconsiderate customers at the bar. And someone brought a puppy into the area whilst we were eating , not for me thanks ! Think that’s unacceptable, the person then returned behind the bar , had she washed her hands?

Probably will return in future , for the beautiful steak !

User

Wont be coming again, not sure what’s happened.. Arrived on a Saturday night at 8pm to 4 tables which is odd so alarms bell started ringing. A lot of starters & mains not available, had a fillet steak which wasn’ the best considering the price. Husband had lamb shank which he had to cut. The waitress asked if everything was ok we said not really have you got a different chef, she replied yes & im sorry. £75 later will certainly be choosing somewhere else next time. Such a shame!

User

First visit to the tiger after many recommendations on Sept 13th. Service was great, food tasted good. However, I had the seafood platter and something on there made me sick that evening. I have a strong stomach and hadn't eaten anything else so this was definitely the cause. Messaged your Facebook page the following day just to give a heads up in case it was a dodgy batch of something, only to be completely ignored after the message was read. No message back, no apology or to say they would check. I wasn't going to post on the public page but after being ignored I felt it was justified.

So I hope this didn't happen to anyone else. Don't have the garlic prawns.
