Went today for Sunday lunch was beautiful and the Yorkshire puddings were amazing :)

We had a retirement drink for my husband and I asked if they could arrange a few nibbles. It was perfect, the baskets of chicken and fish goujons , chips, onion rings, breaded mushrooms went down a treat. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and it turned out to be a great night!!

Very very good food, really good service - they are all so nice there! We sat upstairs which was so cosy and warm on a snowy night. Love the place, will definitely go back much more often. Can’t wait for summer to go with my dog.

Stumbled across this pub by accident. Literally the best pub, food, staff and drinks ever. The food was lovely and the portions were huge. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back xx

I try to get to the Travs every Wednesday night for a burger and a pint. You can double up any burger for a £ which is fantastic value. I forgot to mention that the burgers are the best in Co. Durham and the chips are to die for!

I had the lamb shank. I was up in the area for training and have been going to this pub the last few times - now they already know what my order will be. The lamb shank was beautiful as always. The staff and really friendly and inviting. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. See you again soon

I can honestly say that the Travs has the best Burgers, beer and service in consett by a country mile..

If not one of the best local pubs in the NE.

Always look forward to bringing the kids here, always welcomed.

Good pub pleasant staff food served all day from 12 o clock

Fab staff nothing is a bother. The girl( brown wavy hair) who served our food last night was up and down the stairs all night cos we couldn't master us all finishing our drinks at the same time but still managed to come back with a smile

Excellent friendly welcome and service today by the young man managing the bar. Loved the blazing log burner on a cold snowy day too!

Food was good and the complimentary drink for my friends Birthday was a lovely touch! Thank you !

Meals were all spot on, staff all extremely pleasant and helpful from booking through to leaving. Can't thank you all enough for accommodating us all and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Very good service ,gr8 staff we were a party of 16 .& it was served all 2gether & with no problems ,food very good ,huge Yorkshire puddings (certainly not aunt bessies .lol )all fresh veg ,would definitely recommend this place, gr8 value 4 money .(as Arnie said I'll b back ) thank you.x

Waited for our drinks to be brought to the table for over half an hour yesterday and there was a mistake on our bill that was rectified. Food is always lovely here and service is good when mistakes aren’t made.

Had many a lovely meal here but was really disappointed 2day.called in 4 3takeaway sumday dinners and when i got home we were shocked.roastys were raw.veg also.and we got 1 little cup of gravy for 3people so i had 2make some more.which was a waste cos none of us ate our meal apart from the meat and yorkie.??
