We are looking to employ an Animal Care Assistant at VREC. This is an entry level job but an excellent way to get into working within the veterinary industry. The job would comprise of assisting qualified veterinary staff in the care of our patients and to cover reception duties therefore GCSE Maths and English are a requirement but previous experience is desirable but not essential.
The hours would be 40 hours per week working Sunday - Thursday.

If your pet needs attention outside of office hours, our independent emergency clinic is available to assist you. Located just off the M25 at J6, we are easily accessible and our vets will ensure that you and your treasured pet are taken care of at this stressful time.

We first met Bernard Walsh when he performed an ultrasound on Baloo, our golden retriever, in 2002. Sadly Baloo had inoperable cancer but Bernard was so kind to us. Fast forward to 2017 when Ziggy, our flatcoat, needed to see a specialist. Bernard initially said that scans weren't necessary but to continue with Galen Myotherapy for a while. Lovely to see a vet recommending what's best for an animal rather than his pocket! After a few months we took Ziggy back for scans as things hadn't improved - a bit of an odd case but we were very happy with the treatment options offered to us for her. We took her back this morning and she's now been signed off, but we would certainly use this surgery again in future. The reception staff are efficient & friendly and the building is bright, clean and modern. Thank you!
This place is absolutely amazing so friendly and welcoming .. my dog has just had a hip replacement and he is doing very very well.. nothing is to much trouble for them..you feel very calm leaving your beloved pet with them..highly recommended!!!!
Thank you so much for all your hard and dedicated work in keeping Pepper and her pups going through a difficult birth !! You are all absolute stars and we cannot praise and thank you enough xx
Such calm professionalism when you are afraid for your pet aka 'best friend'. Although our visit did not end well, the vet and all staff were so thoughtful, treating not only us but our 16 year old daughter (mum of said pet) with such kindness that it made making a difficult decision much easier to bear and to go through.
Some times you need the calm knowledge of an expert to help you understand, come to terms and ultimately accept a sad situation.
Many thanks to ALL the team @ Godstone for the wonderful treatment of 'Jack' our Jack Russell, huge operation that we hope will give him many more years with us all,didn't think he would get through this but they have performed superbly in getting him through it all,thank you Bernard & all your brilliant team.

Lovely people who worked wonders with there quick thinking and excellent facilities. They saved our girl and 5 babies which we brought home and who are now growing into lovely fit huskies
Lovely friendly staff. Put myself and my dog at ease straight away. Explained everything that was happening so i could understand. Cant fault them! The Vet and the emergency om call vet were very understanding and caring and made me feel safe that my dog was being looked after how she should be. Treated her like their own!
Had to take my 8 month old kitten Bella there yesterday after eating a bee and getting stung in the mouth her little face was very swollen. The vet and veterinary nurse were absolutely lovely. They calmed me and were fantastic with Bella. Gave her antihistamine injection and anti inflammatory injection. Today I'm pleased to say her face is fine and she's causing mischief again.
First class service the staff are fantastic and so kind. Thank you so much for taking great care of oscar

An amazing place with wonderful caring staff who saved our cat Gizmo. He has been diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy so he has a limited life expectancy but hopefully he’ll have a Happy life.
