We are very excited to have Aurora D’Amico with us all the way from Italy for this very special Curiouser & Curiouser sessions.
As well as having Aurora we also have support from he very talented Brighton based Rosie Jenord!
... Aurora D'Amico is an Italian singer-songwriter born in Palermo, Italy in 1993. Since she was 15 years old, Aurora has been turning her personal life stories into songs, playing both the guitar and the piano.
Under the influence of American and English songwriters (Norah Jones, Lucy Rose, John Mayer, Ben Howard, etc.) Aurora recorded her first EP ‘Barefoot’ in England and released it in Italy in 2016. A year after that, she was back in the studio recording her first LP ‘So Many Things’, as a 800A Records artist (Alessio Bondì, Fabrizio Cammarata, etc.). Her music is a canvass of memories, thoughts, and hopes, written in different countries - Italy, England, USA and on planes in between.
Acoustic vibes, simple harmonies, and contemporary sounds merge all together and they bring up different aspects of Aurora's personality - from a fragile human being, to a powerful guitar player. People say "Aurora is a veteran in the body of a young lady. Her beauty flows in the notes she sings and the chords she plays, beyond the fact that she is an amazing performer."
ENDORSEMENTS - Fender guitar, December 2016 - G7th The Capo Company, February 2017

User

Tried the new menu out this evening - Hell Yes!!

Fromage a Trois mac and cheese,

Spicy buffalo chicken burger and Halloumi fries and two happy customers

Loved the 360 Apa as well!

User

This is a quirky fun pub,it's warm and inviting and has a real upbeat atmosphere and a great range of beers and wine and food.Friendly polite staff too.The ideal place to escape the November gloom.

User

The Holy Cow burger has to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The halloumi fries are perfect!!

User

Loved the selection of ales they had on tap.

My other half was obsessed with the Pac-Man table, what was going to be a pop in for one turned into a 4hr drinking, eating and gaming session.

Great atmosphere would definitely go back

User

Just popped In whilst in the lanes for a few days staff where bubbly and polite had nice pint sat out side in the sun listening to a busker all good food looked amazing

User

Just had a burger from here, best burger I've ever had better than any burger chain I've been! Staff are awesome and welcoming would defo recommend getting a fat burger and a pint!

User

It is tradition that anytime I visit Brighton (as I live In portsmouth) that I hop off the train and walk straight to the white rabbit for a pint.

Been that way for at least 5 years now! Staff have always been friendly and accommodating. 10/10 guys, keep it up 💪🏼

User

I hunted all around for a nice cloudy cider with strength. Whoopee Do one of my favourites was in there. Old Rosey. One of the best. Also Nachos were nice. I'll be back loads. Keep a strong natural cider please. See you soon.

User

Great food

I had a Sunday roast and the roast potatoes were amazing

Definitely going to visit again

User

First stop on a bar crawl. Great music, great local crafts and friendly staff & punters. Will return on my next visit from Leeds. Highly recommend

User

Fab funky little hidden bar in the lanes, friendly bar staff and a great place to watch the world go by. Didn’t stop for food but definitely a yummy looking menu too!xx

User

Came in to get out of the rain. Dog friendly which was great. We stayed for coffee which was good and very reasonable. Ordered from the light bites menu and found the food to be really tasty. Will deffo call in again if I'm down in Brighton.

User

Fabulous atmosphere, didn’t eat as needed dairy and wheat free. Great for a drink. Toilets basic and well used, needed attention

User

Passed while shopping in the Lanes, liked the name and decided to give it a try for a quick pimt later in the afternoon. Nice pint of IPA and really nice surroundings. Let down by deparately slow service due to all the staff making coffees or chatting amongst themselves. Maybe 1 on coffees and the rest pulling pints might be an idea?

User

I like the pub and would have rated it higher (4 or 5) if it wasn't for one of the bar staff who repeatedly and deliberately overcharged us for drinks. Blonde girl, slightly chubby, working Sunday 3rd June evening shift. I just thought the drinks were really expensive but only later did I realise that she'd been ripping us off by £5 for each round of 3 drinks when I was served by a guy who charged what I expected but obviously then it was too late. We also asked if they did an NUS discount and she said she had applied it but this was clearly a bare-faced lie! She's probably overcharging people and taking the difference out of the till so watch her closely and don't trust her! Otherwise the pub was very nice and I would go there again as the live music was lovely, as were the other members of staff.

User

Been to this pub a few times when visiting Brighton with family and friends. Love the fact it allows dogs into it aswell. Really good atmosphere and food until I found a long hair in my sandwich my dad took it back up to the man behind the bar who said it was indeed one of the girl who worked there hair but because I already ate the other half of the sandwich they wouldn't refund for all just half of it. It's a shame I really enjoy going to this pub but won't be going back or recommending it!

User

Oh dear. Three words - spot the bar. No point saying hello and then not serving me. It wasn't even busy. So walked out. Helpful advice - take some training from The Black Lion, where the bar staff are on point.
