User

Just spent a night here and it was fantastic, very good value. Lovely and clean and a well cooked breakfast included in the price. Ate in the restaurant last night, excellent. Only downside the room was very hot most of the night even with the windows open.

Haven't stayed in the hotel, but visited 3 times when we've been to take one of our dogs to the referral vets outside the village (the vet recommended it as they're dog friendly). This time we took our second hound along, but for some reason he was afraid to step inside (he is a rescue so most likely something to do with his past), so we had lunch in their outside seating. Staff were lovely, trying to encourage him inside at first, but being very accommodating outside with us after. Everything was brought to us, including a bowl of fresh water for our boy, and of course lots of cuddles which put him at ease. Food was lovely, as it has been every time I've been here. Their sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Only downside is it's not closer to where I live

User

Had a great night at the Halloween party.

Staff worked really hard, and the DJ was brilliant, loved the pumpkin cocktail

User

Great place, wonderful management. Always liked this place a lot, lovely atmosphere and great food. Went to a comedy dining night and they did Fawlty towers, was hilarious! Highly recommend this place even without the additional entertainment. Open fires in the winter, little garden for the summer.

User

Great hotel with amazing food and staff. Definitely will be back.

User

Glyn and the team looked after Lorraine and me on the occassion of our wedding, together with the wedding party - wonderfully. Its the people and the service that make this friendly hotel. Thanks Glyn!

User

Absolutely lovely place. Would highly recommend. Very comfortable beds. Most friendliest staff and the food is out of this world. So good we stayed an extra night and will be returning again very soon xxx

User

Lovely stay. Staff couldn’t be more friendly. We arrived on a really busy night but nothing was too much trouble. Food excellent - we had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Breakfast best I’ve had for a long time. One star short as rooms are a bit tired but comfortable all the same.

User

Lovely old building, the staff were really friendly and the food superb. The beds were really comfortable but the rooms themselves are a bit tired although everything worked. Lovely place to head out to the local area.

User

Good evening meal, great breakfast, friendly staff, dogs allowed and in hotel accommodation. Rooms were clean but needed a lot of TLC, painting, and repairs. Not a great deal of sleep but glad dogs could be with us.

User

Very disappointed. Have been several times before and had great meals. Not this visit though. The food was very mediocre. Red pepper in the seafood linguini was completely overpowering. Chips not as good as they used to be.

Service was good though.
