We celebrated my birthday on Sat 6th May. Served by the lovely Sam - who was very understanding & helpful on the gluten free options as my husband is coeliac. We had a lovely meal - service was excellent. Have been several times now to The Woolpack & can rely on gluten free meals without any worries. Certainly recommend.

Our waitress called Karen was really friendly and chatty which is very important in customer care. Our food was very hot and very tasty - Beef Wellington �

We came down from Oxford and the woolpack is much nicer and service much quicker the the longwall!

Fantastic as always had a wonderful meal yesterday afternoon and a gorgeous breakfast this morning could not fault it at all staff are always so friendly and food always good.

Everytime we have been it's been brilliant staff friendly and very helpful, drinks straight away, food wonderful always fresh and hot

Initial meet and greet was a little terse, though was rescued by a younger staff member with fabulous interpersonal skills.

The coffee in the flasks was luke warm. But from there on in breakfast was unbeatable.

The Pastries were gorgeous and the Cooked part of the meal arrived as ordered and was done to perfection.

Arrived at 17:25 on a Saturday night, had to wait for a table till 18:00 which was as expected. We had the rump steak which was absolutely wonderful, especially when you have a 40% discount voucher, the staff were also wonderful and would certainly recommend this place on our experience.

Service was good but food was not that good ordered the crispy mushrooms and for 5 pound only got 6 slices of mushroom not value for money at all � very disappointed

just went in for a hot chocolate and it wasn't very hot. I informed a member of staff that was standing at the bar with other staff talking and all that was said was ' oh was it' not even a sorry could k get you another one. and none of the other staff said anything

Was asked if we wanted to upgrade the steak on the mixed grill for extra. So we did and it was the worse steak ever. But service was good and my lamb was good. Can't win them all and staff very helpful. Shame.

Very disappointing tonight, restaurant clearly busy on a Saturday night and my single cover meal deal not high up the priority of customer service, but knew the night was going to be disappointing when my main course arrived after 35 minutes without any sign of a starter, main course taken away and a starter forthcoming after a further 15 minutes. Starter was very nice and then I started the wait for my main course, after a further 20 minutes queried about the non arrival of my main course to be told my order was next behind an order for 26 covers! 10 minutes later my steak arrived and to say it was dry and uninteresting was the understatement of the evening, I immediately asked to speak to the duty manager, who assured me it was a fresh steak as she had personally put the one delivered almost an hour earlier into the bin, let me say I not sure I believe her. I have been promised a full refund as my meal was prepaid under the meal deal associated with my Premier Inn booking, so need to see if this actually comes to fruition, particularly as PI and Beefeaters are my hotel and associated restaurant of choice in the UK, when traveling on my photography trips. I hope these mistakes are resolved and treated seriously as I

have something like 10 bookings already made for future dates in 2018 and it will be a right royal pain in the arse to find alternative venues.

Service was lovely but the food for our main meals was really bad,We couldn't have the roast we wanted so changed it,Then when they were served to us the potatoes were either burnt or hard,Vegetables were cold and Yorkshire puddings were like bricks, starter's and puddings were lovely, we spoke to manager who took main meals off the bill.

Will not be visiting again, dinner was not hot, my jacket potato I could hardly see it was so small, no potato in it much and was black,must of picked it so many times it shriveled up.chicken was not hot. Terrible meals.

Dessert was the best not that there could mess them up really. Don't waste your money.

What's the point in booking a table if we still have to wait over an hour?

Went on a tuesday night, so not busy, but still the service was terrible, ordered sirloin steak, with chips & onion rings. this was after 30min of waiting once we had been seated, not even offered a drink!, My wife said she enjoy the food although the portions were small, as in mine as well. My steak however had the texture of a squash ball, we both also ordered a coke refill. Once we had ordered we waited another 25 minutes before the food was served, about 3/4 of the way through fighting with my steak, we needed a drink top-up, after some time we managed to capture a waitress and order our fill-up...... it never came!, when we had finished the a young waitress came up to us and asked us if we had enjoyed our meal.... well I told in no uncertain terms NO!, she hurried off and an older staff member came to the table, we were just wait for a apology and the excuses of why the service and meal was so bad.... But no, all she could say.. and we found this odd! " I must tell you this" we waited with bated breath, she continued.. "we do a very good cooked breakfast in the morning" this was a 8.30pm, I guess she realise the service was so bad that if you ordered your breakfast then, you might be lucky to get it in the morning!!!! We paid, god knows why, and left, NEVER TO RETURN, so the moral of this, if want to use this place, god help you, book early... not the table.. but the rations they call a meal!

The table staff were great, but unfortunately my friend and I both had to send our food back as undercooked. We then got it back again and ended up leaving it as it was still undercooked. It was such a shame as I have been there 4 times this year and it has always been fantastic. Felt really let down.

Didn't feel welcoming. The service was just ridiculous. 2hrs waiting for food. I wasn't offered another drink, I had to ask. The food was disgusting, wasn't at all cooked right. Missing items off the order also. There wasn't a proper apology. The night wasn't even at all busy and yet the service took more than it should have. The food was so dry that it was as though 're heated in a microwave. I didn't pay for food as I didn't eat it but just paid for the drinks. The manager didn't seem to be that bothered. I will never eat from beefeater again. Gordon Ramsey himself will say this place is fucking bollocks
