We've just come back from a fantastic night stay at this little gem of a place for my husbands 40th. We are hard to please and it didn't disappoint one little bit! Food was fantastic and that's coming from my husband that is a chef, the Fredrick room was just brilliant, so quirky. The staff were fab, thank Ellie, you had a very long day and still delivered a fantastic service and looked after us so well. (Hope you received your tip from us) it was well deserved. Looking forward to trying the Five bells.

User

Stayed in the Josephine room as a birthday treat. It certainly was a treat..... the room was beautiful with an ensuite boudoir to die for. The evening meal was absolutely gorgeous. Full of flavour and served by really friendly staff. Will be recommending this to all our friends and will most definitely be returning before my next birthday!

User

Spent a 50th celebration at the Woolpack could not fault anything. Very friendly staff will do anything to accommodate. Amazing quirky bedrooms . Lovely food. beautiful pub in a lovely setting. Recommend .

User

Quiet pub with good food, peaceful and off the beaten track, would recommend to anyone for a quiet afternoon in good company.

User

Popped in a second time for Sunday lunch. Amazing!! We had the sharing shoulder of lamb, meat melts in mouth, veg freshly cooked, lovely roasted potatoes and yorkshires. The best pub roast we've ever had. Staff all lovely, giving the place a lovely feel. Barman knows how to mix and gin and tonic too!!

User

Lovely setting, fantastic food and quirky decor.

Gets very busy at peak times and parking is challenging. Have visited at quieter times and you get much more of the country pub feel.

Sunday lunch is fabulous but expensive at £18.00 for a roast dinner but it is certainly a quality plentiful plate. All in all a great place .

User

User

A very welcoming pub. Cozy and interesting decor. Nice beer and very good food. Lovely staff top it off.

User

Had a great night, the service and food was fantastic as per a previous meal their. The room we stayed in was nice, but cold this time of year. As an observation there should be tea and coffee in the rooms as the pub is closed up at midnight and no staff are about until 8am the next morning, I've edited my review as there'd been a small amount of confusion over the breakfast but this matter has been promptly and fantastically dealt with by the Manager after a very quick response phone call. My thanks for that and a great night.

User

Staff were very friendly and nice , the Hookers Hooch was superb , a lovely pint . But food was average at best and served on a bathroom tile , I kid you not . Trying far too hard to be hipster , very contrived and unnecessary. A shame really .

User

Lovely setting and creating from young lady, barperson who was attentive throughout our lunchtime stay. We sat outside our drinks brought out and order taken. We had vegetarian burger and meat burger. The meat burger looked and tasted delicious. Sadly the vegetarian was not good at all. Very bland and fell apart when broken into. I was unable to finish it. They were understanding and dealt with the situation promptly. I will say the local beer and fresh orange juice was enjoyable.

User

Georgous country Pub, very old worldly, staff very pleasant. Got to be honest the food was so over rated. Ordered the skin potatoes, up came a small soggy baked potato, with small amount of cheese and a white sauce, (Don't know what sauce was). Friend had a pepperoni pizza, nearly all tomato puree & not much cheese or pepperoni.

Sorry but love the "Woolpack at Brookland" the menu is so much better, not as fancy just good old Pub good and cheaper.

User

Staff were friendly but food was awful. I had chicken with bacon, wild truffle mash potato and veg. The chicken wasn't great, the 'wild truffle' mash was more like smash, no bacon and veg was just kale. My boyfriend had fish pie. Again, mash was not cooked properly and was very dry. We sat near the kitchen and saw the girl playing with her hair and then using her bare hands to plate food, such as chips. Hygiene didn't seem an issue. Wouldn't come again.
