I am very sorry to say that I will be closed for the next week (until march 25th) unless the government calls for a full shut down in which case I will see you when we are allowed back to work!
If there are any questions or queries please message me on here and I will do my best to help you out. I can recommend Richard at Abbots shoe repair in Pangbourne and Daren at The Caversham Cobbler though of course I am the best!
If you have things to collect Geoff at C&G hardware (ne...xt door to me) has access to the shop and will happily get your items in return for any funds owing (cash please)
I hope you are all well and I'll be back in full operational service as soon as I can. Stay safe

A big thank you to all the generous folk who frequent my little shop
Just totted up the totals from my "wear it pink" charity box and with my promise to double all monies entered in october we reached £225.
Just like to mention that the young lady on the box is my niece who beat breast cancer last year. Sadly however not everyone does and my sister lost her battle in March this year. Great charity and a worthwhile cause.

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY ME!
That's right folks. Today is 2 years since I finally started out on my own. It has been an excellent time, with many wonderful and awful repairs along the way. I've made many new friends and dragged some old ones along with me for the ride.
A big thank you to Geoff and the crew at C&G for helping me out along the way, supplying endless anecdotes and energy drinks to keep me going.
... To celebrate I am offering some great deals for the next few weeks.
FREE HEELS WITH ANY SOLE REPLACEMENT
3 FOR £10 ON MOST CYLINDER KEYS
2 FOR £10 ON MOST MORTICE KEYS
HALF PRICE ENGRAVING ON ANY ITEM BOUGHT IN SHOP.
As it is breast cancer awareness month and in honour of my late sister I will be matching any donations made in my "Breast Cancer Now" charity pot as well.
Have a lovely day guys and gals

If you come off your bike, your leathers may save you but who's going to save your leathers???
Pop them in for stitching, patching, new zips and many other repairs. I can get authentic parts for almost any Sidi product and a few others to boot!

These are the third pair today that the customer has been told "they can't be fixed" by a rival Cobbler yet here they are in my capable hands about to start their journey back to being favourite boots again!
Please if you have been told something CANNOT be fixed come and see me for a second opinion. It may not be easy but I'll do my best to keep you going!

I've had some amazing jobs come to the shop recently. Some real chances to try new things or perfect my skills in things I've only done once or twice before.
A lady brought me her new bike leathers that were too tight across the chest and stomach. I had already tried to let out the zip stitching as much as possible which wasnt enough so I cut and stitched some new leather panels in which worked wonderfully.
I also had the chance to make a new Fossil strap. These are very par...ticular in that they have a screw fixing in the leather. Fossil want £60-80 for their straps! I have done this before twice and it was on a recommendation from an earlier customer that I was approached.
I was also given a pair of shoes that were particularly scuffed on the toes and offered to put a toe cap on them in a similar colour to cover the area. The lady was worried it wouldn't match the shoes but after a good polish they look like they had always been there.
Take a look for yourself. I will take on almost any job so if you think you've got a challenge bring it in, give me a ring or message me on here, Twitter & instagram.

A fun morning today correcting the work of another shoe repairer. One pair of heels not even finished round properly and falling off within a week. The second needed a corner build up which "couldn't be done" so they lowered the heel, left a huge gap where the build up should have been and stapled a new heel on filling the gap with melted polish.
My advice is to keep it local and support your independent shops, chances are we have done the job for a long time and can actually work around problems rather than papering or in this case polishing over the cracks

I've just been handed these to sell in the shop. They are 6 - 6 1/2 (39) dance shoes with the chrome leather (suede) soles required for "proper" dancing! If you know anyone looking for a new pair send them my way. I guarantee I'll be cheaper than a dance shop!!!
I also have a range of second hand or like new shoes all donated from good homes including Churches and Paul Cox for the men and 2x Van-Dal for the ladies!

Hey guys, it's that time of the year again and after 18 months I really want to push my little business to the forefront of people's awareness. If you could please take a few minutes to nominate me and leave a few words as to why I deserve it, I will be forever in your debt!
Thank you in advance

So after a manic couple of months I'm still absolutely rushed off my feet thanks to you lovely people. I've had dog chewed shoes, riding boots to be turned into WW1 Officers boots, I've had complete rebuilds and my favourite, some Dainite thru-soles to do. Here they are:
