We have guests staying @ElephantPlains this weekend, and it always reminds me of the very happy month that we spent there back in 2003 training to be safari guides with @EcotrainingAfrica when they had a a camp on the EP property. Wish I was going back there this weekend!!

We love this place, and often sponsor an elephant for clients of ours who visit Kenya! It a great cause, and also a great experience - thanks, for raising its profile, Ellen! ❤️🐘

Looks like another day in paradise for the guests we have staying at Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel in Mauritius this week...

Wonderful to hear that the 216.3mm of rain that Cape Town enjoyed in May has substantially boosted the water reserves. The dams ( or reservoirs if you are not South African!) are now 30% full, which is 10 points higher than early June 2017!

Cape Town has pulled together to cut water consumption, and that along with other initiatives has pushed the potential date for “Day Zero” – the projected date when the city would cut the ordinary supply of water to many of its citizens – into 2019.
Hopefully a rainy winter and the continued progress on other water projects will mean this can be averted altogether.

Travel Butlers and the two Tracey's (Carter & Campbell) were outstanding in putting together our adventure of a lifetime. We have sadly now returned to the gloom of the UK after our 15 days away staying 5 days at Thornybush on safari followed by the remainder at Awali Golf & Spa in Mauritius. This was a rather special trip for us as we were looking to get married in the bush with a very small and private ceromony involving just the two of us. After months of emails between Tracey, our SA Minister Christa, Mel at Thornybush and myself, we were set for the big day. We can honestly say that between them all they made our day the most special, memorable and more than perfect event than we could have wanted for. Tracey (Campbell) had even insited and provided to our suprise a simple yet devine wedding cake and together with the arrangements made by Mel and her great team at the lodge the setting in the beauty & wonderment of the raw bush was just amazing. We cant thank or recommend Travel Butlers enough for what they all put together for us. We have left part of our hearts in the bush and cant wait to return. We will certainly be using Tracey and her team again.

Just been to Botswana with Travelbutlers and what a game viewing experience. The high lights were - a Martial eagle took a guinea fowl from under our noses, wild dogs with puppies, a lion up a tree and a Leopard kill. Fantastic.
