We recently had our wedding ceremony and reception at Trunkwell and I could not recommend it highly enough! Everything was perfect, the staff there are all amazing and we cannot thank Nadia and Tony enough for making everything run so smoothly on the day! Nothing was too much trouble for them! The venue and staff were both perfect and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed their day too. If you're looking for the perfect wedding venue this is definitely the one!!

We had our wedding at Trunkwell on the 25.08.18 and it really exceeded our expectations we chose this venue over a year and half ago and we are so pleased we can’t fault anything. All the staff worked so hard to make our day so special a huge thank you to Hannah who done everything she could to help, answered all my questions (which was a lot lol) helped me on the day, nothing was too much trouble she treated us like friends and made me feel at ease! Especially as I was so nervous all the time, you are very kind and honest and clearly love your job so thank you! The food was amazing all our guests commented throughout the day and said how amazing everything was that’s so lovely to hear after a long time planning. The sun came out and we had our perfect day! I cannot recommend this place enough. We also got to know Rosie who helped along the way and we must meet up for cat day �

We had our daughter’s first birthday party here and everything about the venue was amazing! Perfect location for a bbq garden party, Nadia and Rosie were super friendly, responsive and helpful during the planning and made it all so easy and fun, and Tony and the team went above and beyond on the day, took our decorations and ran with it while we finished getting ready in our beautiful room, and added lots of little extra touches that made the day. All of our guests commented how much they loved this unique hidden gem of a venue and it made for an unforgettable day. Thanks so much guys, highly recommended!

We had a fantastic night at Trunkwell House for ‘Lost in Wonderland’ party night on Saturday. The venue was superbly decorated. Although the bar was busy there wasn’t a long wait to be served by any of the friendly bar staff. The pre-dinner entertainment was great and despite the large number of guests that were catered for the food all came out together, hot and delicious. We were also offered 2 options for each course and there was plenty of food too. The waiting staff were very polite and attentive.

The disco was a good mix of old and new music so there was something to get everyone up and dancing.

A nice touch at the end of the night was the taxi phone so you could easily arrange getting home.

All in all it was an excellent evening and I would highly recommend booking for a great night out.

Once again thanks to Tony and all the team at Trunkwell for a memorable night out. We will be back!

Trunkwell House is a stunning venue and from the moment we met Rosie and Hannah we knew that this was where we wanted to hold our wedding reception.

Hannah was always there to answer our questions, no matter how trival they may have seemed and to make sure that everything leading up to our big day was covered. Her attention to detail was outstanding. Arriving at Trunkwell House on our wedding day, everything was set up perfectly and it looked truly amazing.

We want to say a huge thank you to Hannah, Tony and the rest of the Trunkwell staff who looked after us and made our day very special.

Myself and my husband just got married at this fantastic venue yesterday! It is gorgeous and such great value for money!



We were so fortunate to get married on the hottest day of the year which just made the venue even more outstanding! Beautiful garden for us to relax in. Us and ours guests comforts were always top priority.



Words cannot express how wonderful the people at Trunkwell are. Nothing is too much trouble, everything was set up perfectly and we didn't have to lift a finger. Our day was so relaxed and we got to enjoy every moment.

My husband and I got married here on the 18th August 2018 and we truly had the best experience at Trunkwell. Everything ran so smoothly and Tony was superb! Hannah was our point of contact through out the planning process and answered all our questions. The week before we were able to drop off decorations and on the day I didn’t have to worry at all and the venue looked beautiful, everything I imagined. The bridal party was able to get ready first thing in the morning and the service was great from start to finish. We really did have the best day ever and we wish we could do it all over again! Just woken up after an amazing Christmas Party at Trunkwell. The marquee was amazing and the characters that meet us on arrival were fantastic and a lot of effort went into making sure our group of 16 had an amazing experience.

The staff were great and and the entertainment throughout the evening was top notch.

The only complaint was that the evening had to come to an end!!! Will definitely be back in 2017!

If you are looking for a way to celebrate Christmas with family, friends or colleagues then look no further! We attended the Egyptian themed party last night and it looked amazing! So much effort went into the staging and props, the acts were amazing I especially loved the fire act! Lots of lovely food and drink (of course)! There is a simulator too, it was very entertaining watching those having a go on the tv screens! If you like a little go in the casino tables or dancing the night away then there’s something for everyone! Thank you to the Trunkwell team a very good night had by all!

I went to the Essence of Egypt Christmas party last night and it was really excellent - great decorations, excellent staff and entertainment, with a range of activities / entertainment. Very professionally done. Great fun! Stay in the hotel was also very good - thanks to Harry and all the staff for their hard work and friendly, helpful attitude.

I have been fortunate enough to have been on a few of these such themed events and have always enjoyed them .. Trunkwell go that step further .. you really feel that you are a pert of the whole occasion and the atmosphere becomes that of one great big family and friends event.

Despite the weather conspiring to turn the evening into a wash out, the staff and entertainment managed to maintain an air of calm and professionalism that could not be rivalled. Pretty sure the power cuts and torrential rain were not intended effects on the night but to be quite honest they were barely noticeable ..

Top quality food (and I am glad to report, Piping Hot to boot) top quality service at all times and a charming atmosphere throughout .. Tempted to book another night there now closer to Christmas it they have any availability...



Brilliant Value For Money .. thank you all .. Just need a friendlier Taxi firm at the end of the evening now .. Should have used the recommended one there ..

I cannot speak highly enough of the team Trunkwell. Throughout every step of the journey they couldn't do anything more to be more helpful and they had a solution to every one of our ideas.



I would like to say a particular thank you to Nadia who led the project and took fantastic care to make sure every detail was covered. Truly a five star service.

Christmas party visit for the girlies and myself. Warm welcome, and friendly staff (In particular the ladies on the main bar). Food was lovely, and throughout the meal we were surprised with entertainment.

There had clearly been a lot of time spent decorating the marquee, making the venue beautiful and just that bit different for a Christmas party.

An absolutely magnificent place for my granddaughters wedding Staff were all so very kind The lawns were well kept and everywhere looked wonderful clean and tidy. All my family had a fantastic day to remember. Thanks to all the staff.

Amazing service! Tony looked after me from start to finish. I was also upgraded to the green room free of charge, breakfast was amazing and the attention to detail was superb! Can’t wait to return, business or pleasure.

Myself and my husband got married here on the 23rd August. The day went like clockwork even with a last minute change from an indoor to garden reception. The rooms were lovely, a bit hot but super spacious to get ready in. Tony Rosie and Nadia were a good team to work with. The wedding breakfast was really tasty and people said they enjoyed it.

I dont know about the hotel but Xmas venue is isually nice. This year wasnt as organised as last year. We love tbe themes and the crowd but the drinks are uneccessary expensive (water should be complimentary!!), and the venue closes too soon. We queued for drinks, then for the loo (serious) then to visit a downtrodden simulator from the 90s “pixel fun “ didnt even dared the casino queues or else had spent the night queueing. the chance to dance was hal an hour, before we were tipped out. The Dj was terrible, we are a loyal attendant but might look elsewhere next year. As beither the taxi nor the adjacent hotels provided good value so we felt a bit cheated - milked
