U CAN Spray kicks off the painting season with SKATE-FEST especially for young people in the Haywards Heath & Surrounding areas.
This day is going to be MEGA! so don't miss-out!!!- there's skateboarding, music, bike mechanic, dance, DJ and where would all of this be without the essential ingredient STREET ART! This is a totally FREE event brought to you by Mid Sussex County Council.
What can you expect from U CAN Spray?
... You will be taken through the training to experiment with CAN control- then you will get the opportunity to create your own piece of artwork on a canvas or a vinyl-to take away with you!! IDEA- why not paint your own skate deck or T-shirt- (T-shirts need to be white or a light colour) We will have some old T-shirts available. There's no limits to what you can create- The only limit is your imagination...If you've never tried Street-art before now is your chance!

Creative Charity coordinator Job Description
U CAN Spray CIO is a start-up charity who creates inclusive spray-painting experiences for everyone, but especially young people who are not in work or education (NEET) ... We are based in the South East of the UK and our activities range from attending community events offering workshops, through to specific interventions with local authorities and various organisations to create stunning murals which enhance urban spaces.
We are looking to employ a freelance team member to work 2 days a week at £12.50 Per hour (aprox £87 per day) to start as soon as possible.
Person Specification:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS Well organised with attention to detail Thorough, with the ability to follow through on own initiative. Ability to create filing systems on a cloud and external hard drive which are user-friendly. Good communicator and understanding of social media channels
DESIRABLE SKILLS Charity or social enterprise experience an advantage but not essential. Strategic thinking and ability to work on own initiative. Ability to research and absorb information given in order to write proposals and help achieve our aims. Appreciation of the arts, in particular, Street-Art Design editing skills using Photoshop & Illustrator /or similar An ideas person who can quickly grasp the function and form of an idea and begin to assemble the elements needed for the project to come to life.
Our requirements will include, but not limited to:
Event Planning Volunteer coordinating including keeping an up to date database and good communications with volunteers etc a what's app group, setting up volunteer events etc. Making the most of the goodwill of sponsors, benefactors, and volunteers to achieve the best outcomes for the charity. General Administration, including setting up systems and good organisation of our assets such as our photo and video libraries.. Grant applications (with guidance) Mailchimp emails and newsletters Helping us compile information for our annual report to reflect our activities over our first years.
You will be mostly working remotely in order to achieve our objectives, however, some meetings or research will be necessary- therefore if you are located near East Sussex with your own transport or ability to travel to Lewes, Brighton Haywards Heath area, it's a definite advantage.

My son enjoyed the spray painting workshop at Into The Wild festival immensely. At his primary school they did some work on the history of street art and he took his spray painted canvas’s into to show the class. He said “ it’s the only time I’ve ever felt I’ve done something impressive and cool, my class thought it was amazing and gave me lots of compliments...that’s never ever happened to me before, I felt really proud of myself “ (age 10 with learning difficulties)



As a parent I could have not been more thrilled to see my son expressing his creativity and feeling so proud of himself. Thank you Sarah! Xxxx

My boys loved doing this at Cranbrook goes nuts this afternoon. The man who helped them (sorry didn't catch your name) was lovely and helped the boys so much

Fantastic way for all ages to express themselves through art.
