Ukc Travel Society Description
We are the travel society at the University of Kent enabling students to meet like minded individuals who are passionate about travelling and exploring different cultures, and to provide students with a chance to find travelling buddies, as well as organise a variety of travel themed socials throughout the year.
Each term we will be organising 2 trips, one UK trip and one abroad trip. Membership is £5 for the year, and each trip is payed for individually. We try to keep the costs of our trips as cheap as possible such as staying in group accommodation like hostels and travelling light to make it as student friendly as possible.
Spontaneity is encouraged! We will be teaming up with RaG throughout the year to take part in amazing events to take you out of your comfort zone and get you to travel! Jailbreak is an amazing opportunity to do this.

Term two has begun and why not have a welcome back social and see any new faces!
We will start by meeting at 7pm in Westgate spoons, then making our way down to Black Griffin, Lady luck, Cherry tree, Foundry, and lastly Thomas ingoldsby where we will take a bus to chemistry to end (buses at 11pm and 12:15am) 🎉🎉

🍾🍾Our next social will consist of preeing at someone's on campus or pre at Woodys (we'd be getting some pretty cool drink deals 😎) and then head to venue! 🍾🍾

🎄🎄Our Christmas meal this year will be at The Penny Theatre🎄🎄
🎁We will be meeting at the bus stop in town at 6:30pm and then make our way to the venue. You're welcome to make your own way there if you prefer to, but please let us know in advance so we're not waiting for you.
... 🍴We will be having a 3 course meal which includes a starter, a main dish, and a dessert for 15,95
🎅However in order to book us the place,you will have to pay a 3 pound deposit by the 23th of November as they require us to pay 2 weeks before the actual date Then a week before the event, you will then have to pay the remaining amount (12,95). This should be by the 30th of November. This is basically so on the day we do not have to worry about anything and we can relax!
🧣🧣Please note since this is a Christmas event, we expect you wear a Christmas jumper!🧣🧣
🍻🎉🍻Depending on how tired and full everyone is after we finish, we will head to a pub to have a few chill drinks 🍻🎉🍻
