I don't think the cattle are going out anytime soon, at least it's dry and warm inside. At this time of year farmers start to count what straw and hay/silage stock is left as we would normally look to put out all the livestock on the grass soon. But with the ground to waterlogged and the moor still underwater, we can only cross our fingers for dry weather to come.

Someone forgot to tell Laurel and Hardy they are ment to bring lovely sunny spring time weather!

This is the face of TB in the UK, not the apex predator that although is not endangered, enjoys a protected status - the badger. She's due to give birth in the coming weeks but will be taken off farm within a matter of days. Today we've had 1 reactor, 1 indeterminate reactor. Killing 1000s of cattle every year is not going to solve the problem of TB in this country. The sooner that is realised by the powers that be, the better. Sadly a calf has died as well due to complications at birth. It's been some day on the farm today.

Here we go again, the first part of two of our favourite sort of test, the TB test(just after eye, blood, driving, school....)The tools of today's trade, oh well at least it's stopped raining!
