Amazing, we have nominated for best Campsite of the Year. Unbelievable for such a small campsite. Over the moon !!

User

Refreshing walk to Muker today.

User

we just got home from Usha Gap. what a lovely little place this is plenty of space and very friendly owners!! very accommodating with us being in a large group of 15 loud adults and even allow fires and dogs! thank you for a wonderful bank holiday weekend we will probably see you again in the near future!

What an absolute gem of a campsite in an amazingly beautiful part of Yorkshire.

The owners were lovely and welcoming and the little field next to the Ghyll was a perfect spot to camp where there was more than enough room for 9 of us, 6 bikes and 4 tents.

The site is perfectly located and very peaceful but withing easy reach of the local sights and towns with some amazing roads with breathtaking views at every twist and turn.

5 stars are simply not enough.

We will definitely be going back.

The owner will go over the moon for you even if it mean sharing her private ice cream with you Great facilities, amazing views and lovely people!!!

Our first family camping trip and we loved it! Exceptionally clean and warm facilities with every attention to detail, including labels to label your food in the fridge! Very friendly and welcoming. It's a great added bonus that you can arrive and leave at any time so you can just pack up and leave at a relaxed pace. We'll definitely be back!

OMG just back from a fantastic weekend here. What a relaxed friendly site. Warm welcome, pitch where you like, some of our neighbours were less than thoughtful with a lot of noise and loud thumping music but before we could mention it someone else did and it was dealt with swiftly. Facilities are great, lovely and warm and always clean. Water pressure an issue but just another challenge to overcome - my daughter and I showered yesterday afternoon so we could coordinate when we turned water on and managed a nice hot shower. Can't wait to go back.

My wife of 30 years rang last Friday, on a prayer, for Saturday night, our first holiday this year, short notice, desperate for a break... and Louise answered. This lovely lady, wife of Philip, a committed grafting farmer, gave us the confidence to drive from Whitby to Usha Gap on the whim to go with the prayer! It was busy when we arrived, towing our Combi-Camp Danish trailer tent (of some vintage!) and the main field was well populated, the beck-side field about full. Not a problem; Louise told us to go in the next field: "wherever you want.... as far away as you want"... Don't listen to any negatives about this tip top campsite! We had our own private field for three nights!

Facilities are beyond reproach, customer service almost family!

Daren't say any more. Be no space left when we next have the chance to return.

Thankyou Phil and Louise for helping making our 30th Wedding Anniversary so special... and you didn't even know until we told you! X

Lovely campsite, very casual pitch where you want. There are 3 fields which they open based on expected visitors.

The facilities are modern and clean, there is a couple of extra loos (probably the old original site toilets), there just could do with a few more when it's busy.

It could possibly become noisy as it's a good site for groups to all pitch together, it wasn't noisy for us in peak season on a Saturday night. It was £15 for 2 ppl in the campervan.

The pub in the village is lovely too and dog friendly, 5 mins walk from the site.

User

Love this campsite! Louise is just the most welcoming of hosts! Stunning views, great facilities, plenty of room. They opened the next field so our party of 5 Landrovers could all camp together.

No noise, friendly campers... Firepits!

My second visit this year. You even get a little WiFi near the farmhouse so if you really have to you can check your emails!

Just got home from a two night stay at Usha Gap. Fantastic site with lovely friendly owners. Shower block is super clean and lovely and warm and the rest of the facilities are excellent (they even have fire pits that you can borrow) Muker village is a short 5-10 minute walk across the meadows. We will definitely be back!

Just back from our first weekend stay! What a lovely site! Welcoming hosts - show you where everything is and then leave you be! This isnt always the case at other sites! Facilities are great - clean and tidy! Toilets and showers clean and well stocked. We were pre-warned it would be busy and it was but it didnt cause a problem. Small shop in house if you’ve forgotten anything. Plenty of spaces to pitch your tent - 3 different fields in total! Fire pits available to rent. Can park car next to tent which is always handy. Great local walks. Not expensive. Worth it for the facilities you get! Theres even labels for You to put on your things in the fridge! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit this area! Already planning our next visit! Hopefully soon!! Thanks once again for a fab stay!

I've spent a lot of time camping in and around this area and normally visit a campsite close by, we turned up there to find it full so headed to usha gap. Me and the family were so pleased we did end up here! The facilities are amazing! So kid friendly with loads of books and games that you can borrow for those rainy days. With the site being so busy I was worried we wouldn't be able to borrow a fire pit but there were plenty there and the best I've seen! (I'm pinching your idea Louise for home ) Could not recommend this site enough. Thanks for your hospitality Louise, and we will definitely see you again soon!

User

I have stayed there at least once a year for many years. It used to be brilliant; now it's even better! If you haven't been for a couple of years, the wash rooms are great but the old charm is still there. Bring your midge spray, of course.

User

Had a great night camping here again. Loved the fire pit. Great welcome and facilities spot on and clean. Looking forward to another visit soon.

User

Fantastic campsite so friendly and accommodating, they go out of their way to make sure their campers enjoy their stay. We have stayed here a few times before but usually december/January and were originally due to stay somewhere else for August bank holiday weekend but changed our mind when we arrived and saw the facilities. My husband suggested trying usha gap but I was worried they would be fully booked up. Best decision ever they not only had space for us but they have fantastic facilities, amazing views and the village pub the farmers arms is pretty amazing too. Can't wait to return

User

Fab overnight stay last night. Incredible rainstorm cut our walk short yesterday afternoon, so will be back soon to try it again. Lovely, peaceful spot with great facilities. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Amazing campsite. Been here twice now and looking forward to many more times. The facilities are always clean and never had to wait for a shower. Never been to a campsite that has a dry room. Very good idea to off stuff after a rainy walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
