Relive the cinematic magic of these classic films at Vue:
Like any big chain of centres, Vue works to a standard formula. Some outlets work this formula better than others, but at the end it all boils down to the coalface - how good and happy are the staff ?
They smile, they appear to be genuinely happy to take your tickets, the cleaners - who evidently do their job very well, judging from how clean the cinema was when we arrived - actually said 'hope you enjoyed the film' as we passed them on the way out, leaving all our rubbish scattered around our seats at the end of them.
Bicester is blessed with good Vue.
Excellent cinema house, even parking easy & FREE in multi story which is over Sainsburys (which has 2hrs free parking).
Vue is literally 7 paces from Sainsburys main doors to the left as you leave..
The 3rd hour is free in multi story as long as you scan the bar code on your cinema ticket in the pay machine - so don't be to keen to throw it away after the show.
Excellent venue all round i thought..
We went yesterday morning to see The Darkest Hour. It is our preferred cinema as the one in Banbury is useless (uncomfortable, poor facilities etc). The only gripe is the amount of time it takes at the counter (I know you can book on line but canāt get a coffee on line). There were 3 gentlemen behind us who were moaning (probably because we were buying coffee) and I canāt blame them. We usually go to an āoff peakā showing by even then it can be problematic. Comfortable seats and love going to a 6 screen cinema
Very good seats with plenty of leg room.
Much better to visit than the old style cinemas.
Very clean and tidy, seats are comfortable, service at the counter is a bit slow with other staff just wandering around why canāt they step in and help when there are queues, otherwise a very nice cinema
The town now has a much needed centre since the cinema opened. The main screens are good with 4k and Dolby Atmos etc and the seats are comfortable. I avoid the smaller screens though as they really are small. If you book tickets via the Vue app you can avoid the waiting line entirely by just showing a QR code on your phone before you enter your screen.
The price drop makes this a much more affordable outing and Iāll definitely visit more often.
My only gripe - please turn the air con off/down!!! It may be 30 degrees outside but I donāt want to sit in a freezer for the best part of 2hrs ļæ½ļæ½
The cheaper prices make this a much more appealing option for a night out. And coupled with the comparethemarket 241, makes it a great deal. Still wonāt buy refreshments at the cinema as still way over-priced.
Seats very comfortable, cinema clean and well kept. Only criticism was the wait to buy tickets, the staff were pleasant but so slow as they also did the food, we almost gave up as we were in danger of missing the start, thank goodness for adverts.
Now they have dropped their prices it's nice to see the cinemas nearly full lot better atmosphere. Should have drop the price a long time ago.
It was nice to see a full cinema for once, clearly the price drop has made a difference, long may this continue. Howeverā¦ The website was down so I couldnāt make the most of the Monday Ā£3.99 deal, when I mentioned it to the cashier she didnāt offer me the deal either she just looked at me rather blankly.
Great cinema. Clean. Comfy seats. Refreshments way over priced. Ā£3.99 for a bag of minstrels that cost Ā£1.50 elsewhere. I paid more for 2 hot dogs and 2 drinks than I did for 2 tickets. Well done for the good points though.
They need to decide if it's one queue or individual cues when the tills are open.
That way the idiot man might not feel the need to shout at people for being in the wrong queue.
The fact that there is 1/3 off on Mondays is not advertised very well. The small print is tiny and easily missed, meaning we had to pay full price. The only reason we went on a Monday was because we thought it was cheaper. Generally overpriced, but clean, so give a thumbs up for the cleanliness.
Like that live shows are broadcast here, a good novelty that I'll probably make use of.
Really should have one person doing the tickets, and the others serving refreshments. When the pre-booked seats machines are both down, the queues and time at them are even more ridiculous š±
I love the venue and the set up - ticket prices are ok and film choices good, particularly the live theatre shows - BUT - food and drinks are sooooooooo expensive. That bit brings down the overall star rating considerably.
Beware of the "free" car park rules. It's only free for 2 hours, and you can get another hour free using your Vue cinema receipt at the pay machine. However, if you stay over 3 hours, there will be a massive overcharge fee, about Ā£45 I think, with no excuses. The latest Star Wars showing is 2 hours 55 minutes so there is no time to hang around before or after the film.
Just been to see The Greatest Showman, brilliant film but the costumer service we received was terrible. The girl serving us didn't know what she was doing so we were stood at the counter for a good 10 minutes. The tango ice blast was disgusting and didn't get what we asked for, the popcorn was also horrible and not worth having. Won't be returning.
Expensive and the way you have to wait for people to buy popcorn before you can get a ticket sucks. āTis is especially so as there is a person with a desk who stands by the entrance, and has the sole job of sending you to the popcorn queue again, not checking tickets either!
