Relive the cinematic magic of these classic films at Vue:

User

great experience as always only thing is went to pick my tickets up from the quick machine but it was jammed and there wasn't enough staff to sort it so had to sue up just to pick tickets up and i had to pay the booking fee and still lined up anyway but overall perfect as always

User

Really enjoyed Jurassic World and we go to the cinema more often as a family now the tickets are cheaper. The only moan I have are the over inflated prices for drinks and popcorn

User

We had a great time watching incredible 2. At an amazing price of Ā£4.99

a ticket. The queue was abit slow but it is the school holidays so kinda of expected it to be busy. It moved slowly but got there in time. Kids popcorn with a drink and chocolate Ā£2.99. Perfect evening.

User

Very nice and friendly, prices have dropped to a reasonable price also. Only put off.. well bit annoying.. was a young girl working shouting across the room for attention of others who work there and visitors she appeared to know then hearing her outside the theatre before the movie.

User

Booked our seats online yesterday and went to watch 'Mama Mia here we go again'. No queue to pick up tickets from the automated machine and enjoyed a good film in comfort. The air in kept us cool on a hot evening (glad I took a cardigan!). Only negative about Vue ) as with some other cinemas - not Curzon tho) is that the drinks and snacks hugely overpriced.

User

You need a separate area selling tickets it doesn't work having your staff selling food/drinks etc and tickets all in the one place, the queues are insane! You just lost money because of it!! No wonder people bring their own! ļæ½

User

Went with my daughter un three grandchildren the seats they gave us one was taped upbecause it was broken also smelt where they put us!Finally after about 20 minutes they managed to move us! By this time my grandchildren were getting irritated! But they enjoyed the film in the end.

User

The seats šŸ’ŗ are not that comfortable and there are lots of broken seats which isnā€™t good. Sometimes itā€™s cold but it was lovely and warm this time.

User

Service is generally very slow at Vue Oxford. However, last was the worst ever. The guy serving behind the drinks/food kiosk had no idea what he was doing for people in front of me as well as myself. He got my order completely wrong and didnā€™t know how to make hot chocolate. The drinks were also ridiculously expensive Ā£2.79 for a ā€˜mediumā€™ tea!

User

I come most weeks but as usual long wait to get served. I canā€™t understand why they donā€™t have a separate queue for refreshments. Just a little comment.... having asked for a Ā£3.99 Monday deal on a VIP seat which comes to Ā£5.99 and paying Ā£5 by Nectar leaving 99p I was asked for 1p so that he could give me Ā£1 change from a Ā£2 coin ? They now owe me 2p !!!!

User

Cinema itself is as you would expect but the queue for refreshments is ridiculous! We always tend to book tickets online to collect from the machine but if you want a drink or popcorn be prepared to get there at least 30 minutes early or risk missing the start of the movie

User

would of really enjoyed Peter Rabbit if we could of seen the whole screen , didn't realise there was restricted view seats at full price , how uncomfortable having to stretch our necks to see over the wall and the glare onto the white shelf topping the wall, we were 3 Adults over 5.6in we sat the kids behind us no relaxed visit for us, the wall needs to be at least 6-8 inches lower so customers can sit back and relax. Oxford Vue screen 5 seats J1-3 if your interested party of 6 what a rip off we sent about sixty odd pound on this trip

User

What should of been an enjoyable evening actually turned into a somewhat uncomfortable experience ... watching book club, very funny film by the way , in screen 10 the obvious absence of air conditioning made it really swelteringly hot ... the response from the manager was ā€œyou should of came out and said ā€œ ... clamber over a few people , down the dark steps , across the front of the screen to then find a manager , and clamber back whilst missing any hilarity of a great film .... 18 degrees is no good in a busy screen obviously . Oh and an out of order lift should be closed of from all exits , not just at ground floor ... serious H&S issue !!!

User

Very expensive night out for the family to watch Star Wars.

Had trouble trying to book online so spoke to customer services only to be told I canā€™t prebook tickets if wanting to use a Vue gift card.

Had to risk there being seats left when we got there.

Quite busy when we did get (long que) and only two people serving.

Luckily we managed to get seats together.

User

Great mini morning deal for the kids !

Only rating a 2 as no staff monitoring the film, there were a large group of kids all together shouting & on their phones with lights disturbing the whole film.

User

First time at Vue since Harry Potter 3.

No air con on one of the hottest days of the year.

Tickets overpriced. Water Ā£3 - expected they might have brought free water as they apologies for the heat.

Iā€™m in no hurry to return. Long live live theatre.

User

Went to watch hereditary last night and what should have been a great girls night out ended up being extremly uncomfortable the staff behind the counter where rude shouting rudely at each other the film was in screen 10 and it was like a Sauna room in there it wasnā€™t even full so it should not have been that hot athlete seemed to be huge lack of staff and those that were there didnā€™t seem to know an awful lot at all šŸ¤” some huge training and overhaul of air con is most deffo needed as well as checking the prices for items sold

User

The Vue is ok but its the on- line booking that is the priblem

They advertise a ticket can be booked on- line with in 'minutes'

TRY IT

It took 1 and half hours using my iphone and ipad to realise it wasnt happening!

I then called to be greated by an automated service which was so frustrating as would NOT reconise my film request

I was then transferred to an asistant who couldnt be bothered and had no customer service skills!

This cost me MORE than booking on-line!! Bloody cheek

The film Hostiles was excellent

User

Pretty awful from the staff who canā€™t operate the tills, disgusting latte made with uht milk and cold to the dirty toilets and cinema .Plus side good film but thatā€™s not down to Vue!!!!!
