We’re currently looking for a full time role (40hrs) to include working Saturday mornings and occasional overtime, to start as soon as possible.
Ideally would suit someone with previous shop or pharmacy experience but onsite training will be given as the job would entail the sale of medicines, customer service, patient interaction and general retail responsibility.

After months of preparation, hard work, studying while travelling, attending Sunday courses, numerous assessments and jumping through hoops; we are now awaiting the formality of final approval before we announce a brand new and exciting service. Watch this space!

I work away for a few days and come back to find Christmas has arrived at our Pharmacy... you may all congratulate or blame Caroline!

Yesterday was the BBC & Solent TV on the unsung virtues of hand hygiene coming up to flu season and then a Daily Mail reporter popped in asking how the the NHS will cope with winter pressures. I even had time to vaccinate and do some of my normal chores - phew!

I’ve been filming in London for a health programme to be aired this Tuesday on ITV 1 at 1930 called Save Money: Good Health. Not everything is as it seems and hopefully viewers won’t notice one of my dogs scratched my nose that morning!

My office (after vaccinating in the pharmacy) for most of yesterday was Carnaby Street, a TV studio and a London pharmacy working on the ITV show Saving Money:Good Health. It was great meeting Dr Ranj, Fiona Phillips and Sian Williams who learned more about community pharmacy and pharmacists roles in public health and clinical practice!

We are now doing private and free NHS walk-in flu vaccines. Since yesterday we've helped 62 more people protect themselves and their loved ones from the most deadliest of seasonal viruses. That's already up on last year where we did over 1000 people! As immunisation can take up to 3-weeks to properly build up, it's better to get vaccinated as early as possible and before winter really arrives, especially if you are a carer, elderly, pregnant or have a long term condition. If you'd like to know more or want to get vaccinated just ask any members of the team for details and eligibility. No-one is immune from flu! Thanks
