Went twice this week for a lovely walk. The sun was out spring is here . The trees looking amazing. Go and see the daffodil and magnolia tress. Then sit and have a cup of tea or coffee. Xx

User

Went fairly recently as my first visit. It's a fantastic place for a walk, getting some fresh air and taking in some marvellous views. Some great photo opportunities; frosty, misty mornings this time of year are marvellous, but I can't wait to get some more colourful shots in the summer. Take head of the colour coded footpaths on the free map. Some of those bits coloured in red can be quite steep but can be avoided if you look first.

We visited on Saturday for your Bountiful Botanics Autumn Festival and had a fantastic time - so much so that we came again on Sunday!

A great atmosphere and lots to interest both us and the children. Our two (1 & 4) enjoyed climbing on the tractors, playing in the hay, dancing to the band and cooking damper bread over the fire. Oh, and throwing leaves in the Wind Tunnel - fab idea!

We are regular visitors to Wakehurst and always enjoy the lovely setting and children’s activities (Tree Trunk Trek etc). Events like this weekend are the icing on the cake and really make our membership worthwhile. Thank you!

User

We had the most wonderful time on Saturday at your Bountiful Botanics Festival. My 2.5 year old loved it! There was so much to do and see, and so many interesting friendly people to talk to. We love Wakehurst anyway but these weekends make it even more fun

User

We came yesterday for the Wild Wood Event and were blown away by the sheer number of activities and stalls on offer. Everything was so well organised and we had the most wonderful time. Every stall holder was so friendly. We loved the "Into the Woods" performance in the theatre. It was amazing. Thank you Wakehurst!

User

Wakehurst is a great place to go for all the family. The children love the tree trunk trek.

User

This is the first time my son and I have visited. We spent near 6 hour exploring different parts of the ground and still did not get round it all. The activity for the children were very good. We did not get to see the mansion as there was a wedding on but will do that another day. So impressed with the grounds very well maintained. The seed bank was very impressive. Big spaces to the children to play. The wall garden was stunning. A picnic is a must ! Definitely worth becoming a friend of wakehurst

User

The wild wood event here was brilliant. So much to see and do. Our kids (4 & 6) loved it too.

User

My favourite place, looks different on every day of the year can't recommend it enough

User

Lovely and well-managed, but the name tags of some of the trees were missing or very hard to spot.

User

I've been a member for several years now since the car parking charge was introduced. I now visit 1-2 times a month and enjoy the gardens all year round. I have a passion for photography and I'm never disappointed always something new to photograph. It's great value for money.

User

Hello!

We came to your Glow wild event last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. My 4 year old refuses to walk anywhere and wants to be constantly carried - but he loved the lights and ran around the whole time and the whole way!!

My 6 year old daughter also lost a teeny Winnie the Pooh key ring in the dark on our way and was very upset, your lovely helpful staff found it the next day and posted it back! Thank you! X

User

Had another lovely morning here today, with some of the Scaynes Hill WI ladies, in the sun enjoying the gardens and making the most of the early bird cuppa offer. Always such a wonderful place to visit and always hopeful the early bird offer will be extended to March ??????

Thanks Wakehurst for such a lovely venue.

User

Great spot!

User

Another visit today but this time to celebrate being proposed to 10 years ago today in Westwood Valley still one of my all time favourite places

User

An awesome place to spend a day walking around and taking in the gardens, buildings and views. The staff are always helpful and cheerful, the cafe although it can get busy is excellent. Car parking is cheaper if you buy a friends at Wakehurst membership and go a few times in a year and it helps to keep the place amazing. Thank you to all the gardeners and volunteers who do such great work there.

User

Absolutely stunning gardens and mansion. I was there in autumn and the colours of the trees were breathtaking. The walled garden is really lovely but I would like to see it in summer when all the flowers are blooming. The restaurant was very nice and warm and welcome after the cold wind outside.

User

Visited on Monday with various family members ranging from 6-40yrs and we all had a great day (even the 16yr old although she wouldn't admit it!). The Peter Rabbit trail was ok, signage was a bit rubbish and it ambled about a bit but the small people enjoyed the activities and the weather held off for us so not much to complain about!

What was REALLY good though was Mr Macgregor's storytelling! Not sure if it's always the same fella but he was hilarious! He captivated all the kids in the room and the giggles and smiles from them were 100% genuine! I'd give the overall event a 3 star rating but he pushed it up to 4**** - Job well done!

User

over food and drinks a small of can drink is £1.85 as snack is round £10/£20 wakehurst place and a parking fee to this is only for the Wealthy visitor
