Walton Community Allotment

About Walton Community Allotment

Walton Charity run a community allotment at Terrace Road, Walton on Thames for locals in the Elmbridge community.

Walton Community Allotment Description

Walton Charity and Paragon Community Housing have partnered to create a new community allotment at Terrace Road, Walton on Thames.

The large allotment site, which measures around 40 metres x 40 metres, is a community project where people from all walks of life work together. The project encourages social inclusion and is targeted at those who wouldn’t normally get involved in growing food or face barriers such as mental health, disability, isolation, poverty, etc. However, everyone is welcome to take part in growing /gardening, learning and developing hands on skills as the key focus is to teach basic gardening skills.

No tools, skills or experience are necessary.

Whether you are completely new to allotment gardening or just want to increase your knowledge and skills, Karen Heynike would like to hear from you. Please contact Karen on 07599868852 or e mail kheynike@waltoncharity.org. uk. Karen is at the allotment every Tuesday between 10am and12 noon and between 3. 30 pm and 5. 30pm, and every Saturday between 2pm and 5pm.

Writing 'Welcome hedgehog' didn't bring any hedgehogs last winter. For the hedgehogs that can't read perhaps they'll be encouraged by the wooden hedgehog instead.
