The award-winning and bestselling author and illustrator, Liz Pichon will be signing copies of Tom Gates: What Monster? on publication day!
The bestselling, fully illustrated Tom Gates series is back! Winner of the ROALD DAHL FUNNY PRIZE. This book contains: - MONSTERS - MYSTERY - A MUSIC FESTIVAL - MISSING stuff - ME and Marcus (Not necessarily in THAT order). AND a very strict supply teacher - but don't let that put you off!
This event is not ticketed but please arrive early to avoid disappointment as we expect it to be very busy.

Love Brighton Waterstones - managed to lose 2 hours yesterday morning browsing, drinking tea (and a slice of carrot cake. It's clean, tidy, packed full of exciting books. Staff are so friendly - if you use the Waterstones store card and their stamper card, the discounts soon mount up. Must support and keep hold of this gem of a bookstore.

I went to Waterstones yesterday afternoon. I spent some of the most exciting moments in the day. I found many different type of books and paticular things and really available and kind clerks who helped me in the choice. In particular I found a clerk at the checkout who was very nice with me and he shared the choice of a fantastic bag of Pride and Prejudice.

I love it.

It's sad in Italy there aren't these particular object. :(

In conclusion I strongly believe Waterstone is a place to visit and where spend many time without doubts. I hope to go back there!

I love Waterstones in Brighton. Lots of comfy sofas where you can immerse yourself in the latest best seller. There's a little cafe selling delicious cakes and hot chocolate and tasty salads. The staff are friendly and upbeat. A little Oasis of calm in the middle of busy, buzzing Brighton!

I experience this branch two ways - as a customer and as a local author. As a customer it’s a lovely store - just the right mix of ramshackle and easy to find your way about. But it’s as a local author they shine most for me. I’ve been involved in many events there over the years and they’re so supportive and a joy to collaborate with. The recent event I did there with three newcomer authors was a delight, and much of that was down to the staff at the branch, and a special mention must go to Richard who does the events, who’s worth his weight in gold.

I bought some great books and enjoyed a read over a cuppa from their cafe. Love it.

Had a lovely evening at Waterstones in Brighton for our friend Neil Ansell's latest book launch. Really interesting Q&A session and it was very well attended. The book is called 'The Last Wilderness'

User

Great selection of books due to it being over several floors and added bonus of being able to grab a coffee/bite to eat whilst there

User

Fantastic Store lots of books with a great range of subjects and genres

User

Fabulously knowledgeable and kind staff who readily apologise for the lack of books in certain areas such as the dance section. A lovely atmosphere to browse for books. And the events we've been to have been great!

There’s nothing I like better than a whole morning browsing in Waterstones, with a quick coffee too!

BUT (and it’s a big but) I always have to ask where is this book? WHYoWHYoWHYoWHY can’t books be filed just alphabetic by author? If I know the book I have to know whether it is Crime or Horror or Sci-Fi or whatever. Please don’t take away those customer assistants!! Apart from that - I love the place.

Last of it's kind in Brighton.. quality big proper bookshop. i think they've abandoned their kindle section! like the shop, the cafe and the very helpful staff you can engage in on the spot about the books and other things..
