Saturday: Bit of a Colin Firth fan? Don't miss out on the screening of biographical drama, The Mercy, as you follow Donald Crowhurst in his desperat...e attempt to complete the Golden Globe Race.
Sunday: If you're a sucker for a romantic comedy, the join us for a screening of Hello, Dolly!, set in 1980's New York.

If you’re an early worm like us, join your fellow residents from 11am this morning to discuss your latest reads and perhaps recommend a book to a friend! Then stay with us, because from 3pm this afternoon we’ll be playing cards, dominoes and board games 😊

Sometimes, there’s nothing nicer than an afternoon cup of tea – especially when it’s with our very own Chaplain, Anne, which is exactly what’s going on today from 3pm!

With 2018 having drawn to a close, we’re thinking about all the fun we have had this past year, as well as looking forward to everything that 2019 brings!

From all of us here at Wellesley Court, we would like to wish our residents, staff and volunteers a very Merry Christmas!
However you are spending it, we hope that your day is full of fun and time with your loved ones.

Following a book group session at 11:00 am, we will be welcoming the children from Hambledon Primary School to Wellesley Court at 2:00 pm, who will sing some Christmas carols with us. We hope to see you there!

Don’t take your Christmas party hat off yet because from 6:00 pm today, join Anne for some coffee, mince pies and a good chat with your fellow residents!

As the anticipation for Christmas grows, we’ve planned a week packed full of festive activities! Starting today, head down to the lounge at 3:00 pm to join John and Rosemary and sing some classic Christmas carols along with your friends and neighbours.

To round up our festive week, we’ve got Christmas card making taking place tomorrow at 1:30pm with the children from Lavender House. Please come along to the Residents’ Lounge to join in, with a film to follow at 3pm.

Looking for some Christmas gifts for family and friends? Well there’s no need to go very far - we’ve got Edinburgh Woollen Mill coming in today at 3pm to present some of their favourite items, with a sale to follow.

As the lead up to Christmas continues, we’ve got some exciting festive activities happening at Wellesley Court this week, starting with Christmas rock painting at 3pm today!

As the chilly air takes hold and the days get shorter and shorter, there’s nothing we like more than settling down to watch a film with our friends in the warm.

Big fan of Family Fortunes? Or perhaps you’re just in the mood to gather together with your neighbours?
We will be screening the hugely popular game show, Family Fortunes, today so join us to play along with your friends and see if you can get a better answer than one of the family members!

My Parents moved here in March this year and are very happy that they made that decision after living in a 4 bedroom house and garden for the last 30 years. The facilities are excellent and kept spotless. I enjoy visiting and mingling with the other residents during activities held in the beautiful lounge with outside terrace. The staff are all very friendly, supportive and help where needed. I would thoroughly recommend Wellesley Court for anyone struggling to manage on their own now, or even those able to do most things. The residents are of a mixed age and health but mostly young at heart and friendly once you break the ice!
