Wonderfully thought out campsite amongst the forest. Quiet with just the birds to wake you up in the mornings. Family owned and very welcoming. Pitches are large with electric hook up (some I believe are fully serviced). Lovely wooded walk around the campsite for dogs and to observe natural habitat. Plus a great play area for children tucked away from the pitches. Shower block/toilets/washing up area are spotless. We booked through ferry company but can book direct. A campsite well worth a visit on a trip to the island.

User

Without doubt the cleanest and most immaculate toilet and shower facilities we have come across on any campsite. Lovely woodland scenery with bird song and the regular glimpses of the local red squirrels. A delight!

User

What an amazing site . Spotlessly clean, great dog walk and wonderful facilities. The site owners and staff are so helpful and will do anything to help make your stay even better.

Around the site is a lovely woodland walk where you can see local.wildlife and take the dog for a nice stroll.

We went in our caravan but there are a range of pitches suitable for tents, motor homes as well as any other camping accommodation you may have.

Great position for visiting all areas of the island, with the added convince of a tesco just 5 minutes away.

So good we have booked to come back in just 5 weeks and already excited about it

We stayed in our campervan for a few days in May. It is by far the best kept site we have ever stayed in. The shower/toilet/washing up block was better than some hotels! We had a warm welcome when we arrived, and the staff were very helpful throughout our stay. Nothing seemed too much effort from them, not that we needed much, as everything was so perfect. The site nestles in a tree conservation area and there is a lovely, short, woodland walk. I spent a long time relaxing, listening to birdsong. Only a short drive to Ryde. A fantastic base for visiting the island. We booked through Red Funnel and the combined ferry/campsite cost was amazingly good value. We travelled out of the peak ferry price hike of the bank holiday. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the IOW.

User

We simply adore this well-run and beautiful campsite.

To anyone who has not yet paid this five star campsite a visit I would say that you owe it yourself, as you are very likely to enjoy your time there.

Highly recommended.

User

We are very impressed with this place, it's nice and quiet and very friendly they have got a beautiful walk around the campsite to see the red squirrel's, we had a love time in here and definitely recommend it and we will be back here soon

User

This is a wonderful campsite in a pefect setting that makes for a brilliant holiday. Located just a two minute drive from a large supermarket, and with a very reasonably priced on site shop it has everything to offer. The highlights of our holiday have to be the abundance of wildlife; including buzzards, rabbits and red squirrels. The history of this forest is very interesting, and it's lovely to see that the owners are trying to restore it to what it should be.

Our pitch was massive, and we had plenty of space to spread out. As well as this we were located very conveniently for the toilets, bins and water points. We enjoyed taking our dogs along the woodland walk in a morning and evening and spent the days on the beach or exploring the local towns. At night, it's very quiet and an easy site to get a good night's sleep.

This is a brilliant site and we hope to visit again very soon.

User

Red Funnel 5 day discount package. On arrival the staff were so helpful and informative, once filled up with water we were shown onto our pitch. First observations were that this is a family orientated site Tents, Caravans and Motorhomes with a good mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches in beautiful woodland scenery. A centralised facility block was spotless with plenty of hot water. the dog walk around the perimeter of the site was another bonus for us.

Ryde the nearest town was approx. 10 minutes drive with a super seafront, and shopping area. Venturing from 1 side of the island to the other will take you approx. 1 hours drive with various towns and other places of interest to stop if you so wish Whitefield Forest Touring Park was well worth the trip across the Solent.

Would I return to this camp site? - Definitely YES

User

Me and my partner have just been here for 3 days and we have really enjoyed staying here. Lovely location and the site is very peaceful and well looked after and facilities are very clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone cant wait to come and stay again

User

Lovely and peaceful! Excellent facilities. Birds, red squirrels and dormice for neighbours. What more could you ask for when all you want to do is relax? Nearby bus stops for a service that takes you anywhere on the island. Happy days!

User

Just had a lovely few days at Whitefield woods camping on my own. A perfect site to get away from it all. Good to be in nature. Lovely to hear the birds at 4am.

User

Just back from a week here. Would recommend it, it’s a beautiful site and feels so friendly and relaxed. Facilities are always clean and we found the family wash rooms particularly useful....although would benefit some more hooks.

Already considering booking to come back next year!

User

I think this is the best campsite I've ever been to. I certainly wouldn't go anywhere else on the isle of wight. The site is so clean and tidy, the pitches are flat and a good size and the staff are lovely. Can't wait to see you guys in august!!!!

User

Fantastic site, we visited with a campervan and awning (spot 26), and loved it. The cleanest campsite I've ever visited, and the most honest. For example I left my fairy liquid at the sinks, that evening I went to the sinks, laughing saying I was a dope to the owners, they said don't be silly it's in lost property and promptly gave me a lift in the golf buggy to get my fairy liquid. I found it quiet, super dog friendly, and very private and sunny on our spot. Loved the woodland walk, and my wife was over the moon seeing a red squirrel! Great discount on ferry booking with red funnel. Highly recommended. Will return.

User

Excellent site, superbly clean and tidy. Helpful family run reception and small essentials shop. Care for the site clearly apparent with grass mowed on a regular basis, whilst a keen interest in the wildlife of the wood. Lovely trail and watchpoint for red squirrel watching. Bus stop just 100 yards from site, with buses returning from Ryde after midnight so no need to take the car into town. Some great touches such as the help yourself herb garden. Will be rebooking when we leave on Saturday.

User

Excellent camp site

The pitch in which we were allocated was amazing and had no problem fitting our tent and car on and still have room around as.

Showers/wash area/family showers are all spotless and we'll kept.

There a supermarket just up the road and so close to Ryde beach.

My hole family cannot wait to stay here again

User

Beautiful site sat in a forest with lovely dog walks , beautiful scenery and nothing more than half an hour away. Bus stop outside campsite you don't even have to use car if you don't want to xxx first class facility's and friendly family run

User

Beautiful quiet site and cleanest I've ever been on especially toilets rabbits everywhere really nice spot. Showers kept going cold but didn't bother us as we've shower in motorhome. Booked through red funnel well worth it. Just a pity weather was mostly rain grrrrrrr

User

A lovely landscaped site with fantastic toilet/shower/washing up & laundry facilities. The staff are very helpful. Its a good price for all these facilities that are included in the price and it's in easy reach of the beach. Dogs are also welcome and there are forrest walks from the site. I would highly recommend that you try this site for yourselves.
