We are looking for Technicians that share our passion for service excellence and commitment to customer safety. Our Technicians are trained to manufacturer standards and have access to regular support and technical information to diagnose, repair, and service a full range of vehicles.
... Key Duties:
Undertake the timely repair and servicing of customer vehicles. Conduct full examinations of vehicles and identify non-routine defects, or additional faults either in the workshop or during road tests. Undertake Electronic Vehicle Health Checks Undertake vehicle road testing for diagnosis and to test repairs. Work closely with the service team and ensuring they are kept informed of the progress of work on customer vehicles and they are fully briefed on work completed. Obtain appropriate authorisation if additional work is required on a vehicle. Build and maintain a high level of technical competence for diagnosing and servicing vehicles and utilise regular training and support information. Be open to try new methods of work designed to improve efficiency. Person Requirements:
You will need to be an experienced, technician with a relevant formal qualification Possess good communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to colleagues and customers accurately and concisely. Customer focused, able to keep customers experience and safety in mind throughout the service or diagnosis and repair Team Player – assist other technicians when workshop is under pressure, and take ownership of any safety issues you identify in the workshop. Quality focused with first time fix mentality. A full UK drivers licence is required for this role. At Wilson's be boast a state of the art service centre we look after Abarth, Dacia, Fiat, Renault and Vauxhall vehicles, as well as any other 'non-Wilsons' brands.
A position has become available in our multi franchise service department for a Workshop controller. The role in the department is a varied one and you will be responsible for all aspects of managing the workshop scheduling whilst motivating technicians towards better efficiencies and quality. You will be driven, focused and possess exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure towards daily targets on sales and quality.
The role also includes some of the following:
Prioritises workshop jobs to meet customers requirements Liaises with Service Reception to advise them of work progress and to alert them of any work which is unlikely to be completed by the required time Reports current and potential future faults, additional work and service requirements to Service Reception enabling them to notify the customer Candidates must have:
Good Numeracy skills Good communication skills PC literate Pro active Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service (CSI). Ability to work under pressure in a busy team Ability to cope with meeting deadlines Full UK driving licence is required. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm and Saturday 8.30am to 12.30pm on a rota basis.
