About Wingham Wildlife Park
Take a walk on the wildside! When you come to visit us here at Wingham Wildlife Park fully expect to receive a warm welcome from all of our resident animals that live at the park.
Wingham Wildlife Park Description
At Wingham Wildlife Park you will have the chance to get up close and personal with nature! We have a number of exhibits (such as Ring Tailed Lemur walk through enclosure), animal talks (hands on encounters as well as keeper talks for species such as Penguins) and special experience days (like Tiger feeding, Penguin feeding and keeper for the day etc. ), to facilitate getting as close as possible to our animals.
We have over 200 species in the park which gives you more different species to look at than any other Kent zoo or wildlife park! Amongst these we can count the only Penguins and chimpanzees in Kent, the only Little Red Flying Fox born outside of Australia & New Zealand (born here at WWP) and the only Grays Monitors in the UK! They can be found in the park along side animals such as:
- Tigers
- Parrots
- Meerkats
- Barbary Macaques
- Various Lemurs
- Crocodiles
- And So Much More!

Little daydreamer π
Friday Fact: Flamingos eat upside down.
These filter feeders swing their heads back and forth, passing water through their comb-like beaks while trapping food such as algae and crustaceans.
We are extending our coffee offer at Sandwich Wildlife Park until the 31st October. If you have a valid season ticket for Wingham Wildlife Park, bring it along to SWP for 50p off any of our hot drinks. This offer is only valid at Sandwich Wildlife Park, so if you're coming for a day out at WWP or even just passing by remember to stop in for a Lavazza coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

Our biggest fund raising event of the year is back! On 31st October 2018 the park will close early (at 16:00), allowing us to open again between 18:00 and 21:00 for a spooky family night out.
We have listened to feedback from the previous years and will be opening up more paths to allow visitors to spread out more and will be limiting numbers of people through the scarier sections in to smaller groups. We hope that for the younger visitors this way they can stay away from the... scary areas, whilst the older visitors will be able to benefit more from the less cramped scare zone (please note that this is a family event so please don't expect extreme horror at this event).
As always there will be food and drink (strictly no alcohol is allowed on site during this event and will be confiscated) available as well as games for the kids! Please note that this year there will be no hands on animal encounters.
Finally, just like last year, we don't have a dance group, but instead do have 3 solo fire performances by juggling inferno throughout the night... This was amazing to witness last year is going to be something very special which you wont want to miss!
Tickets for this event are Β£8 per person on the door or Β£7 per person if purchased in advance on our website, with all proceeds going towards our joint project with Emory University and the Population Sustainability Network on the outskirts of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - supporting local communities and chimpanzees alike!
